Cronulla -2.5 vs Manly
2 units

Cronulla at home on a Saturday night is always hard for the opposition. Manly have a poor record here and while they are travelling quite well, the fact that Steven Bell appears to be out with a fractured jaw tips the scales in the Sharks favour.

Newcastle -2.5 vs NZ Warriors

Knights will no doubt have benfitted from the break last week, and have a good record at Ericson. The Warriors struggle to back up from good victories such as last week's victory over the Roosters. Add to this the fact the Knights would be keen to atone for the loss to the Warriors in Round 4 (minus Johns), and -2.5 seems worthy of an interest.

First game is 7.30pm Saturday night local Aussie time (I think that is 5.30am Saturday US eastern time). The second game is midday Sunday (which I think is about 10pm US eatern time Saturday night).

I hope I have done those time conversions correctly.

I like your Cronulla bet PL.

FYI the weather is very bad in Auckland.

Melbourne to cover 7.5 for me.

Got lucky as I had snared the good early price on Cronulla at the start of the week. If I had waited til Friday when the spread was 4.5 points then I would have been 0-2. Still, you need some luck every now and again.
