Hello again,

I have not posted for about six months since the Super 12 rugby season. Various reasons, but mainly a lack of time, and was a little put off when I took some abuse during that spell even though I was posting winners!!

Anyway it is good to see the likes of British Bulldog reigniting some interest in our sports, so I would like to join him from now on.

Will start back off with this :

ST.HELENS (-4) vs Bradford x 3 units at 5/6 ;)

Anders, 1837.....hope all is well, will drop you both an e-mail soon!

Good to see you back crooky, was wondering where you'd got to!

Think you went in a week too early on the Saints - I'm planning on getting properly stuck in to them v Wigan at the weekend;)
Saints looked a different side in the second half when Shaun Long was on. Assuming he starts + knowing the number of injuries Wigan are carrying (they looked like they'd had it at the end of the Leeds game) it looks a big bet.

What do you reckon the 'cap will be ?? I reckon 6 or 8 but if someone went up 4.....:D :firing:

Hi there lads

I agree 4 points would be very welcomed, no prices or margins until late friday.
I expect line to be in the region of +7 Wigan.
St. Helens are a powerful unit with plenty of pace out wide. Until the last two weeks of the regular season they were playing the best rugby, but unfortunatly Bradford have upped the anti and fair play they needed to.
Expect the saints to win comfortably against the warriors only to be blown away by the bulls next week.

Hoss....long time no see!!! Lines are between 8-10 although if you are looking to back the Saints, then StanJames are going 6 points. You are right, they did look a different side with Sean Long playing, but Paul Deacons kicking caused havoc in the Saints defence, and I expect Andy Farrell to try similar tactics.

I do think Saints will win but I am going to pass on the handicap and concentrate on the Heineken Cup (see new thread!!)

Wigan v. St. Helens

Wigan v. St. Helens

My first reaction to this game was that the saints would be far to strong for the warriors. However, the bookmakers have come to the same conclusion awarding the warriors a 10 point start. This is probably too much and I know that the smart money has been on Wigan all day receiving this start. I will be playing the Warriors as 10 points is in my opinion too many.
Bet 2 points @ 10/11 (-110)

Good luck

further update:

Heineken cup
Bristol (+20) to beat Leinster @ 10/11 3 points

Good luck

---------------------------------------------------------------

final update:

Wigan made to many mistakes on a wet and windy night. Their defence sucumbed to often to the speed and power of the saints. What looked a promising bet went down the tubes. My saving grace was that Bristol although they lost managed to easily stay inside the 20 point start they were given.

5 points bet
5.73 points returned

profit 0.73 points
c/fwd +6.51

:D :D

The 'smart' money will have been on Wigan +10 as a result of the weather - it's obviously harder to concede points in what is likely to be a low scoring game. However, it just looked a game too far for Wigan.

Can't wait for the final now, look forward to reading all your views.:)
