Is there usually a set amount/percentage, or whatever that the books knock off the price when going from the regular money down on a -1.5 play. I played Brewers today at -1.5, -125 with the original line being -181. Just seems it just should have been a little cheaper than -125? And/or is it a possible that it could vary from shop to shop.

Away teams don't get as good of a break in line than home teams. If it goes to extra innings home team may only win by one.

I like first five minus a half better than playing minus 1.5. You are generally playing with or against some pitcher so why not use the portion of the game they will be in

That helps a lot, thank you very much. I don't know if my shop offers the first five, but what you said makes sense.
