Was that a rushing attempt by Ted Ginn Jr in the 2nd quarter?

Cam threw a lateral to him and he was going to attempt a pass but got hit behind the line. Not sure the rule but seems like it woulda been considered a rush attempt and a hit for a loss :shrug:

If you look at the stats Ted ginn 0/0 and 1 sack -4 yards. Im guessing the backward pass changes things
