Hey guru, I live in Arkansas and I see the South Carolina game the same way. Everyone is jumping on the Razorbacks like the game is over. I don't know if they realize Coach Houston Nutt for U of A was a QB for Holtz when he was at Arkansas and they hate each other now.BIG TIME GRUDGE MATCH.I'm not saying the Pigs won't win, but don't bet against Holtz in this situation.Arkansas has handed him his head in the recent past, and he will be motivated to end there New Years Day Bowl bid.

Hey guru not to neg about any of your picks but you must not have been watching the Rebels play this year. There is not a chance in hell that the Rebels cover the 15-. We have no running game and our O-Line is banged up. Also our d is NOT GOOD. We will be lucky to stay with in 30 pts. Just my thoughts. GLTY anyway. :)

Hey s.e.c guru,

Be careful taking miss. st. I have made a modest living betting against MSU this year. They are o - 4 in the s.e.c. and 1 - 6 ATS for they year. Also lets remember the tide blew up a much better Ole Miss tean 42 - 7 in tuscaloosa. Just a little food for thought, good luck

SOMEWHERE AROUND THE S.E.C.
thanks for everbody's response.

my reasoning for playing ole miss, is that they have played so bad the last 2 weekends that it is time for them to put it together and have a really good game. their coach said they had a really good week of practice and look for them to play well. i also see a let down in georgia after their loss last weekend

as far as my ms state pick look back over the last decade and see who gives alabama the toughest game. ms state has more wins in tuscaloosa than any other team in the s.e.c with 7 i beleive

Every week during football season in Columbia they have "lunch with Lou." It's just like it sounds, where Lou and 4 different players attend a banquet lunch and talk about that week's upcoming game.

Someone that attends always posts the bulk of what was said on the Gamecock message board. As I was reading this week's comments one stood out in particular. Apparently towards the end Lou got pretty serious and told the crowd "we WILL play our best game of the season tomorrow." Now a lot of you that aren't familiar with Lou might write that off as coachspeak....well don't.

I think the combonation of last week's gut wrenching loss to UT, and the fact that S. Carolina is coming into today's game (which is the last home game of the year, and senior day),may very well lead to a Gamecock cover. I myself am not betting on the game simply because I very rarely bet for or against S. Carolina. Just wanted to pass the info along.

To add to what USC had to say -- I live in Columbia and know several of the players. Kimrey (3rd team QB) took a lot of reps during the week and may see action. He is the only QB that can actually throw the ball. USC has had trouble with offense the past few weeks and defenses have played 8 man fronts. They may be able to spread it out more this week. Also, the starting QB has been practicing the option out of the I-formation and this may cause problems since they have not shown it much before. Anyway, I think the Gamecocks can cover -- the weather is perfect today! For what it's worth. SCar +5 GL :D

My apologies to any of the MJ faithful that I may have steered towards taking S.Carolina because of my comments above. I am truly sorry. This is the worst S. Carolina offense I have seen in years. :nooo:
