I have no problem with Bama going to the title game, but that is bullshit. I doubt very seriously that Gundy would have voted Bama 4th or 5th.
Saban is a self-righteous prick who loves him some him. Fast track in the dome, nothing would be better than LSU making it official by stomping that ass.

And Chris Peterson of Boise State voted TCU 18th. He was doing his best to help his team and protect his interest just like Saban. At least he wasn't Troy Calhoun who voted Okie State 5th or 6th! Exact reason why the Coaches poll should have no bearing on the BCS formula.

It's like I posted earlier today. The entire BCS is a sham. Either all of the coaches should vote or none of them (and I vote none of them). They not only have a vested interest on the field, but financially as well. Blow it up and have a playoff or at the very least a +1. Commissioner Slive tried to get one implemented several years ago but only the ACC was in favor. The Big 12 was vehemently against it. Karma is a bitch. I would much rather see it settled on the field than by a bunch of coaches who don't watch the other teams play, a bunch of former players - coaches- ADs and SIDs who have their own agendas and computers that we have no idea how the data is entered (or if done so correctly) and computed.

Correct me but I do believe Saban had Stanford ahead of Okie State since the Iowa State loss.

if you think okie st is better than stanford you get a chance to load up..i personally believe stanford will be victorious in dat game..we have great bowl match-ups this year and should enjoy...some nice mismatches...ga for one...happy bowling....

Not sure about that. Just read it several times the past few days. I checked snopes, but there was nothing about it there.
It is going around on some Auburn message boards, but is false. Amazing how someone can just say something and it is suddenly true. I would post a few links to articles that state that the coach's poll was made public after the 2004 season, but I remember something on here awhile back about plagiarism or whatever. Look it up yourself if you care. Speaking of rumors, any of you SEC guys hear about Mack Brown retiring and Texas going after Saban for the ungodly amount of 5 years, 50 million?
I have never visited an auburn message board, but have read it on LSU message boards, rivals message board and a blog this week.
Word on message boards is Mack Brown moving to AD and an offer to Saban of 5-10 years at 10mill per. My neighbor across the street, who is an annoying Horn fan if ever one lived, is giddy with the prospect of Sabear taking over for Brown. Good thing I'm moving soon:0008
Nick Saban is an outstanding coach, no point arguing that. But he is a motherfucker! Ask any person who ever worjed for him.. He is an ego maniac, arrogant lying son of a bitch. He goes through assistants like crazy because no one can stand to work for him. Aside from Bobby Petrino there might not be a bigger asshole in Div 1 coaching. Nothing will make me happier than to see him walk off the field in defeat at the hand of the Tigers!
