There are those and I agree Saddam haveing one last play. He will hide in Baghdad. Let many of his troops and civilians die. Why I was asked. He once to try and kill as many of our troops as possiable. Then the cease fire will be called for. To prevent more blood shed he will deal for his life and about 50 of his closes supporters to go into exile. Before that he will get another thing he wants. More pitcures showing the deaths of many none soldiers through out the Arab world. Even thou Lies they are.
He feals like a winner doing this. And the SOB with the coverage he gets, thinks it will help recrute more terroist. More hate in the world against US. We will know in about 4 to 6 days if this is his last hand he plays. God why cant a 1000 bounder gets this ASS.

I dunno how it ends. I can't help but think that Saddam is only the tip of the ice berg though. I mean if we get him, and I hope we do and I hope we have proof he is dead, how deep does it go? Even if these bastards surrender they will still be terrorists with or without him.

Stevie I think we all know the terroist dont go away even if we get Saddam. But forsure some money to help the terroist will. WMD that may have been sold to them will go away. And a place where some terroist might hide will be gone. All of this can help in the long run. And If Iran thinks they want to act up. Well we be sitting on there border. Have a hunch Iran will be laying low.
I also hope as said above we do not broker a deal with Saddam. On the other hand if it helps save abunch of our soldiers lives. I go along with it. Im sure Sdddam would have some restrictions placed on any where he may be welcomed.

IMHO , he doesn't escape this one .

Absolutly agree, Bush will have it no other way. I think the first bombs that hit Baghdad were aimed at "targets of opportunity", in other words they were aimed at Saddam's ass and his sons as well. We got info about where he may be and went after him, the closest thing to a public attempt at assination we will ever see from our gov't.

It what may be the greatest resemblance to Hitler, Saddam will hide out until it is too late and probably shoot himself in the head. When Germany had clearly lost the war, Hitler was there still urging his boys to fight for their lives even though the war was basically over. There is no question that Saddam will do the same. I actually hope he does off himself or someone does us the favor. Imagine the costs associated with putting this bastard on trial. Imagine the security that would be needed. The whole world will be better off when he is dead.

Some of the media war were loseing. Not saying it's the truth or fair. I still think if Saddam can work a deal when he knows it's over. Well If Bush can work it so we do not have to enter Baghdad. Look bad doing it. With a chance more civilans would die. Our government not just Bush is watching the world media to. They make the deal. Saddam goes but it wont be Syria or Iran or Saudi. We wont buy into that. But Liyba, maybe.

I think it would be great if Saddam would submit to exile and we could save thousands or hundreds of thousands of lives. I just don't see it happening - but we can hope. I think if he did, Bush could save face and rightfully say that he agreed to it for humanitarian reasons and that "regime change" was the driving force anyway. However, it would be pretty hard to trust that Saddam and some of his cohorts wouldn't return for another term of teror.
