Just heard on espn radio. 2002-2004 saints were possibly eavesdropping under haslett. Loomis was a salary cap consultant at the time.

I heard polian say it would be difficult to relay the info, but it only takes one play to change a game. Anyway, why else go through the effort of installing the system?

the system was installed under the direction of ex-GM Randy Mueller as a communications device to be used by Saints personnel only

someone is trying to say that Loomis changed the system when he came on board to be able to listen in on opposing teams

i personally doubt that this is true, i think this just a case of people looking to pile on while the getting is good - apparently the reporter who rolled this story out was making phone calls all over the place in early April trying to dig up anything he could - he called local attorney Donald "Chick" Foret and started asking all kinds of ridiculous questions and Foret said he felt extremely uncomfortable about the conversation - to me it seems that the reporter finally found someone with an axe to grind.............

but if true this would really suck, and the repeated negative PR already really sucks

Looks like ESPNs major source was a scorned former contractor. He'd been fired in '07 for improper use of equipment and excessive billing. Other "source or sources" worked for this guy. Pathetic.

How does ESPN let something like that fly? Oh wait, they are notorious for throwing shit against the wall for a story.
