Does anyone else think this line seems a little off?

Power Rankings would have line at LMU -1 or PK if game is at LMU, which it is. The bets are going SD's way 75% - 25%.

I know LMU is struggling and just lost in OT on Saturday, so I can see the line being bumped up.....just wondering if anyone else has any thoughts on this match-up.

this is one of those games where the line is dropping (from 5 to 3.5) but there is absolutely nothing 'sharp' about playing loyola marymount. with the current state of this team, you either bet their opponent or you pass the game altogether. the linesmaker simply has not been able to accurately account for the loss of worthy. this team is a mess without him. knight is not at 100% either. right now, lmu does not believe they can win basketball games and they are a few moe losses from mailing in the season.

kinda disagree on this one...
yes worthy is the team's leader as senior point guard and he really shouldered alot of the offensive responsibility.
lmu is real tough at home (only losses are in OT and long beach's 35 foot buzzer beater) and san diego is 3-6 on the road.
to me, this is the match-up i want under-valued home dogs. lmu will struggle bacause they lost a 5 year senior but the team won't lay down for anyone at home!

i dont want any part of usd on the road laying points. but i know i sure as hell dont want any part of lmu on any court right now. you could give me 10 with lmu in this game and i wouldnt feel comfortable. not because san diego is anything special. but because lmu is just atrocious without worthy. and tention has shown no ability to adjust his style according to the situation. his only way to win right now is to slow the game down, play some sort of defense, and get knight more touches. but lmu has been running and gunning just as much as ever ... and theyre getting blown out because of it. akron could have dropped 100 on them if they really wanted to. monmouth scored 80+ (yes, monmouth -- one of the slowest tempo teams in the country), the zags rolled them, and friggin portland (another offensively-challenged team) scored 80+.

if you beyond their records and injury to worthy, lmu is going to control this game on the boards.
san francisco who is undefeated in wcc action and had a clear guard advantage on saturday couldn't put lmu away, i don't think s.d. will be able to do the same. took this from recaps:

The Dons looked to be in control of the game with 6:10 left in regulation after Armondo Surratt made three free-throws to give USF a 53-44 lead. But USF failed to score while the Lions finished the half on a 9-0 run finally tying the game on a three-point play by Matthew Knight with 1:15 left. USF made just 5 of 19 shots in the second half, and failed to hit a field goal in the final 11:50 of regulation.
The Dons led 34-27 at the half after finishing the first period on a 16-6 run, The Dons guards led the way with 24 of the 34 points prior to intermission, paced by Armondo Surratt's 10 points including a three at the halftime buzzer.

again remember s.f. advantage was their guard play, but lmu never folded and really had don's on the ropes at the end of regulation.
my point is the play should be LMU or nada!

san francisco couldnt put lmu away because, well ... thats san francisco for you. the dons are inconsistent although very talented. but it was pretty obvious that lmu had no business being in the game. any time kellogg wanted to penetrate, he could. right now, lmu just has zero confidence. and the overtime loss certainly doesnt make things easier. frisco dominated the overtime and ended the game the way they should have ended regulation. i could be mistaken but i dont believe lmu has led for more than about 1:00 or 2:00 of their last five games. that has to be very demoralizing.

playing from behind is something theyve had a BAD habit of doing all season, even when worthy was healthy. they dug themselves major holes against miss state, new mexico state (at home) and boise (at home).

im not sold on san diego. their record is a little phony. although their pg is a stud in the making. i still contend that all lmu games are 'opponents or pass' until proven otherwise, as i think lmu is on the brink of quitting on the season.

but perhaps we've both made a good case for just passing this one altogether.
