opens thursday!

favor speed abit more than at h.p. unless the rain keeps up this could change

my fav. course 6.5 downhill right hand turn (only one in u.s.) turf.

this is a horse for course ,a few dominate this, favor any that have run well here before ,turf routers seem to do quite well shortening up . need some stroung late fractions to be there in an honest race.favor those that can stay close on pace with a late kick.:burnout

anyone else?

Dogfish, Thanks for the information. I don't play the west coast much but I do know there is good money there. I will start to follow it more and appreciate any information you have. Thanks and good luck

Dogfish, When I look at the form I was wonderning if you could help me with the speed of the tracks in the west coast. Out of Hol,SA,GG,Dmr,Fpx, which do you think is the fastest or do you think they are the same. I do notice the west coast run faster times. Is there anything you do to average the tracks out. Thanks.

griff,to be honest with you all i know is that s.a.is or has been faster than h.p.h.p seems t o be deeper, slower s.a. seems to fit my handicaping style better.have not been able to play del mar the last few years,i try to stay with the major tracks and pay very little att. to shippers from g.g b.m. fpx.they normaly dont belong with the big boys.will be doing some in depth study of s.a. ,h.p. and dmr. and will post findings.life now permits to do this full time will try t o cut back on posted plays to afew a day at s.a.thanks for the winners from sam houston:cool:

Santa Anita tends to be faster, but they have a tendency to play with it. Track is usually super fast when you get a little downpour. Del Mar form is probably useless when capping Santa Anita. Del Mar is a place unto itself - can't translate form to DM; can't use it from DM. Fairplex and Los Alamitos are usually too cheap to threaten anything but the lowest at SA. Same with GG, but if the horse is in the hands of a top trainer, they can pull off a rare win. Better to look for SA and HP horses going north. Dogfish is 100% right when he says the downhill turf course is a "horse for course" paradise. You usually have 5 horses within a blanket at the finish, though, so you learn to live with the photo finish losses. They are predicting rain here around the start of the meet. Then you need to get some information about what they do to the track before betting. They have this contraption with a big jet engine they use to dry out the track. If SA gets soaked, it tends to be deep and capping very unpredictable. If there is a little rain or they use the jet engines to dry out the track, speed often does well. But.....changes may have been made over both courses during down time. SA is famous for that. I pay a lot of attention to trainers and jock-trainer combos at the major So Cal tracks. There are tons of both here, but it seems like the top 10 or so win 95% of the races (this could easily be checked - I may be off).

Latest report has it raining starting Friday. But weather forecasters here suck. I'll try to post any info I can that may help. Good luck to all the horseplayers out there! God knows we all need it! Happy holidays to all.
