Hey All.....so now they're called basketball saturdays....i think i can handle that! Here we go, starting the season with the following play:

Richmond +14 at Old Dominion. Going against one of the early season darlings of the early season, but i'm interested in seeing how the Monarchs play after one the year's signature upsets when they took down Georgetown on Sunday. Going from winning outright as a double digit dog to immediately being a doible digit favorite screams let down. Monarchs are only 6-12 ATS in their last 18 homes games. Richmond has its own baggage to overcome, and have failed against the spot in seven straight road games, but they should break that streak and keep this in state rivalry game close.

Adding today......

URI +14 at BC....The eagles have been a mess early on. I'll wager they're not quite 14 points better than anyone right now, especially against a top scoring team like rhode island.

Appalachia St +11.5 at WF.....App St returns all five starters from last year and are a balanced scoring team. Good enough in my mind to hang with a bottom tier ACC team.

Witchita +10.5 at LSU....one of the more intrguing games of the day. I'll always take a MVC contender catching this many points. This will be a great game and go down to the wire.

UCSB +2.5 vs SDSU....Yesterday was not the best day for the Big West with Pacific and Long Beach going down in flames in high profile games. The Gauchos have a chance to grab back some conference pride hosting the Aztecs, the pre season fav in most minds to win the Mountain West. I like the Gauchos start to the season, fell they're a darkhorse in the Big West and will use home field to score the mild upset this afternoon
