Welp, let's give this a go...
Army/ULM Over 54'.....10 u
*Army was very impressive rolling over MTSU (42-0) ULM should put up a better fight. Warhawks started coming into their own last year (Off generated 461.1 ypg) Warhawks appeared to settle down and found some rhythm offensively late. In last 3 of 4 games (put up at least 563 yards) averaging 7.5 yards PP. Army will get theirs behind the Nation's 3rd Best rushing yards pg... Finished 2019 season with avr 297.2 ypg..... Meanwhile, Warhawks ranked 3rd worst in Nation allowing rush yds pg. On avr Warhawks D gave up 252.7 yards. I think Army is better suited not to worry about this pandemic, just due to discipline inside the academy. Black Knights should get mid 30s and hope Warhawks can oblige with a few of their own.
Coastal Carolina +7 over Kansas.....10 u
*Every year Kansas faithful have a glimmer of hope as the season kicks with everyone being equal. Until after first couple of games Jayhawks get bitch slapped and the fans start turning attention to Hoops. Coastal beat Kansas last year (12-7) and I wouldn't be at all surprised that Chanticleers don't walk away from this one also with the W....... Kansas reported 14 positive Covid tests (but it's unknown who in the program is affected)... CC also reported 4 positive cases but all 4 players aren't starters or big contributors to the team. The fact that CC could win this outright without Covid as a factor makes the unknown even better for me. Also, Kansas had no practices in Spring ball, but CC got in 15 Spring Practices.
Syracuse +22' over No Carolina..... 10 u
*Syracuse got off to a miserable start ly and I still can't get it out of my head the hurt Maryland put on them early (63-20). No Carolina is supposed to be loaded but I think it's too many points and even if Tar Heels are in top form, still a reasonable chance that Orange could backdoor. Orange should have a better team than in 2019. I feel the line is overinflated due to the Orange fallout.
Louisiana +11' over Iowa St...... 10 u
*Another interesting game with possible upset potential. Rajun Cajuns have a great HC Billy Napier that had Cajuns focused and playing well ly. Cajuns are veteran heavy and finished off ly with a win at the Lending Tree Bowl over Miami, Ohio..... Their 3 losses included a very close opening loss to Miss St... The other two losses were to their nemesis Appy St (38-45 & 7-17). They have 3 big weapons back and QB L Lewis passed for 3,050 yards ly. They return their two top rushers and have an experienced OL to boot.
Iowa St also has a Veteran crew. They finished a disappointing 7-6 but could have been a 10 win season as they dropped games to Iowa, Baylor and Oklahoma by a total of four points. Jr QB Brock Purdy has 3,982 passing yards and leads the Cyclone Offense that finished ranked 2nd in 2019. Should be an interesting game and I think Louisiana can keep close.
