Charlotte -5.5 over North Texas **
Char is not that good...can be beaten..but NT can't shoot in their own gym let alone someone else's ...NT on the road has lost 11 straight and 8 of those ats.{ think they are 3-12-1 ats on the road the past 2 yrs} ..they can't shoot a 3 yet their coach still allows them to shoot...they added Smoo pt gd Frazier and he will help but they are so fundamentally unsound in every phase..shooting,rebounding,etc.. Char does avg 74 pts a game...but are at home..last yr NT beat char by 3 at home and got blown away 103-79 in Char...
Ga Southern -2.5 over Geo St *8
G-South can shoot he 3 from anywhere..and are playing at home...
Smoo -9 over ECU **
ECU at home beating everyone...but they haven't played a Smoo team like this...watched them the other nite..Ojelye,Milton,Brown,etc wow...and they play defense...can shoot,etc I know they have been hiding in Moody Col but this is one talented team in Dallas or Greenville...double d road win...
Nova -Creighton --what a game...so hard to pick. I had them at pick'in..not sure if its Creighton +1 now or -1 or pk... I will take the Blue Jays on what ever it is on game time...either team can win.. I'll lean towards Watson and the jays are at home. After watching them put away Seton hall 89-75 the other nite...its hard for me to see anyone beating them at home..

Rice +4 over ODU **
Have loved rice since day 1...Evans is the most underated gd in the country...will make the NBA...and his buddy Koul is leading the country in 3 pt FG%...this team can shoot,score,and hit 3's...Owls biggest problem is defense..ODU lost to W&Mary the other day...at home ODU is tough..they play great defense but just think the Owls will have enough offense today...
Hofstra -5 over Delaware **
Hof is avg 80 pts a game..Pemberton,Powers,Foreman can score... if Bernardi is hot forget it..he can shoot the eyes out of the basket...Gutsy leads the nation in rebounding...Hens have no post defense.. last yr Hof won here by 11..same this year..
Drex +1.5 over JMU **
Drex cannot afford to lose to JMU..JMU having a nightmare season..that is what you get when you fired Matt Brady....I know I can't take this personnal..sorry...but I hope JMU loses 20 games by Jan 20th..they have 11 now..
W& Mary +2 over Northeastern ***
Think wrong team favored..they can score avg 84 pts a game,shoot the 3,and beat ODU by 11 the other nite...North lost to Cornell and Stony Brook earlier in the season..they have played better but think they will have trouble vs Mary's offense..
Monmouth -13.5 over Rider ****
Both of these MAAC teams were crushed by UNC and NC St...in last game...but Hawks are more talented...Rider can't shoot...no pt gd,3 fds that are avg...defense has problems...although Hawks won't present the same problem NC St had with rider its still a major problem.. Robinson at the pt is tough to stop..Seaborn,HornB,Robinson can all score.. brady in the middle is tough but not a 'Yurk". Think Monmouth wants to start out the MAAC with a big win....they know they were snubbed last yr going to the big Dance...think King Rice has his kids focused esp after looking bad vs his alma mater NC the other nite..
Iona -13 over Marist ***
Which Iona shows up..thought with Severe he would add some cerebral basketball to this offense...foxes have 2 players in Hart and Parker...both gds and Parker leads in rebounding at 6'2.... Iona has the best post player in the conf in Washington...throw in transfer Cassell,Craw,Cash,Much and these guys can play...now we know Washington will have 3 fouls before the 1st half...and they will be shooting 3's from all over New Rochelle and not getting back on defense...but hopefully they will be up by 20 at the time... I was at the last game when these guys played each other last yr.. I will always remember during the warm ups before the game iona was taking NBA 3's..the whole team...no layup line...then they did the layup line with 4 minutes before jump ball...everyone was jamming..lol but although I was laughing Iona did exactly what they did in warmups..they hit 3's from all over and must of had 10 dunks...and blew the Foxes out of the gym...so who am I to criticize..
NC St +6 over Miami ****
Think Smith will dominate with his other gds...Canes defense will have trouble containing them....but inside the Pack have 7'0 Yurt who is only getting better.. Canes are talented with Newton,Reed and co.. but inside I see the Pack with a big advantage.....think Pack could upset them..

but can someone please shoot my ass when I take Bruce Weber of Kansas st.....up 12 over Texas with 2.40 to go ..with the ball...he pulls the ball out to kill the clock...loses all the momentum...with 11 seconds he starts his offense....forced shot,turnover,steal,forced shot and turnover.. Texas gets it down to 5 pts and covers...ahh
