  • Colorado bats 100 pts less against LH pitching than RH
  • Colorado is 1-3 on the road this year against LEFTIES, averaging only 4 runs per game, and scored 10 RUNS in only victory to boost that average.
  • Hampton is 5-2 on the road this year, giving up an average of only 2 runs per game.
  • CINCY is 2-3 at home against LEFTIES, 6-8 overall, but have lost LAST 6 OVERALL vs. LH.
  • NOTE:REDS did well against LH before May 7th, and all the injuries set in, going 6-2.
  • 4 of 5 games at home vs LH went OVER

After reviewing all the stats, factoring in the return of Griffey, Larkin, and Boone, and the early success of the REDS against Lefties... gotta go REDS +160 and IN CASE, HAMPTON throws a GEM, backing it with the UNDER, but hoping for a 3-2 CINCY win.

CINC +160
UNDER 8.5 -110

Texas at HOUSTON

  • McKnight had 3 starts at home last year, ASTROS winning 2 of 3, but HE hasn't been around for most. Has given up 15 hits, 8 runs in 12.33 innings. ASTROS also won 5 of his 6 starts last year.
  • McKnight is making first start of year. Finished last year with complete game WIN.
  • ALL 3 starts at home last year went over.
  • HP UMP favors HT 11-3, and UNDER 11-2.
  • DAVIS hasn't been too bad, considering the state of RANGER staff. Gives up almost 2 H/W per inning, but has managed to keep runs from scoring recently, ERA 3.6 in last 10.
  • UNDER is 4-1-1 in his last six starts.
  • UNFORTUNATELY, HOU kills LEFTIES at home, hitting .341, but haven't scored much, averaging just over 6 runs a game.
Was leaning to the OVER in this one, but considering the UMP, TEX injuries, and HOU inability to get runners home consistently, gonna pass on the TOTAL and take the STROS!

HOUSTON -130 ** DOUBLE PLAY **

I see DAVIS' luck running out here... you can't consistently put men on base and escape, especially not in HOME RON field.

Minn at CHI CUBS

  • CUBS have won last 11 at home...
    eek.gif
  • Lieber is 4-1 at home with only loss to a BIG UNIT shutout.
  • HOWEVER, 3 of 5 have gone OVER, as CUBS have averaged 7.5 runs in Liber's 4 wins.
  • THOMAS has not gone past 6 in his 3 starts, the TWINS only win in those 3, Thomas left in 2 inning.
  • HP UMP favors UNDER, 9-3
  • CUBS are 3-1 vs LH at home, lone loss to BIG UNIT, 4-0.
  • CUBS batting .313 at home vs LH, but not scoring. ONLY 14 runs in 4 games.
With CUBS dominance at home, and LIEBER on the mound, I'd love to lay the big wood and ride the CUB wave... instead, I'm gonna go with the UMP, the numbers, and take UNDER the GENEROUS 9.5 for a DOUBLE PLAY.

UNDER 9.5 -120 ** DOUBLE PLAY **

Oak at SAN FRAN

No time for write-up, just looking at the game earlier, was sold on SAN FRAN at home with HERNANDEZ, but LIDLE has pitched well on the road, the HP UMP has favored VISITOR, 8-3 so I'm passing on the side.

Will look for bats to come alive though and go OVER the 9.5 -110. COME ON BARRY, hit a couple more!!! WHY NOT have 60 going into the BREAK???

adding this evening...

CLEV -150 (Wright)
  • Wright has been AWESOME on the road for CLE, with INDIANS winning all three starts.
  • WRIGHT hasn't gone long, ave 5.66 per outing, but has 1.00 ERA, and BULLPEN has saved 82.6% (19 of 23) of games on road.
  • CLE 16-5 in game 2 of series, 7-2 after a loss in game 1, and 22-10 overall on road.
  • SCHMIDT has given up 12 hits (2 HR), 8 runs in only 12 innings in 2 starts at home.
  • PITT is 6-15 in game two of series.

there's more... but you get the point!

Tampa Bay at FLORIDA
  • FLA usually has trouble in GAME 1, but came thru in that one. FLA is only 12-20 after a win.
  • LOPEZ has been terrible since throwing a complete game win. ERA of 11.66 in last 3.
  • LOPEZ on the road is 0-3 since beating BALT, and has given up 22 runs in 16.33.
FLORIDA is a much better club, with a much better pitcher, playing at home. TBAY got lucky and ran into a slumping PHILLIE team and picked up some wins... they'll go back to being D-RAYS again tonite.

FLORIDA -1.5 +105

Boston at ATLANTA

No time to post stats, but NOMO is NOT the same pitcher on ROAD compared to FENWAY. This year he is 1-3 with ERA of 5.14 on the road. BURKETT has been tough, although he's only 1-2 at home, his ERA a solid 3.27. BRAVES 21-9 after a loss, and after GIVING away last nite's game, look for a scalping revenge!!

last of the nite...

ANAHEIM -125 (Washburn)
ANAHEIM OVER 9 -120
SEATTLE -160 (Halama)
ARIZONA -1.5 +110 (Ellis)

Anaheim gives this kid good support, and he's pitched well for them recently. These two paired up last week in L.A. and ANA came thru with 6-5 win extra innings. Look for more of the same. SEA is SEATTLE!
wink.gif
EVEN when Halama has struggled, SEA has pulled it out. 5-0 in his 5 road starts, while Loewer has struggled, and SAN DIEGO 1-6 vs Lefties at home. Finally, taking ARIZONA to beat up on DETROIT's Blair making first start of year. ARIZ let one get away last night, and with the SF already winning, they'll be up for tonite's contest. They beat up on RH pitching, so WHY NOT FLARE up ON BLAIR???
biggrin.gif

Sorry for not posting all the stats, got to spend time with FAMILY tonite...

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL if I'm not here on SUNDAY!

Nice 4-0 finish on my last post, 6-0 after 1-4 start,( scared me from any more DOULBES!
wink.gif
)to pull out an UN-impressive 7-5 -0.45 Units. Did the most capping on the first plays, and what??? 1-4 THEN, just played some systems, less analysis and?? 6-0

Could have been alot worse, got some HUGE breaks in the late ones. BUT, also had REDS self-destruct on me... win some lose some I guess....

NICE HIT FLETCHER, the little woman was right!! LOL
