MINNESOTA -110

One of the most profitable plays in baseball this year has
been taking the Twins vs. righthanders in night games at
the Metrodome (24-7, +$1810 so far in '06). So wll not
hesitate to go to the well one more time, especially with a
hot Brad Radke on the hill (1.29 ERA last 2 starts). Radke
has led his team to wins in 10 of his 13 home starts, and
his opponent Jon Garland has an ERA close to 6.00 in his
road starts this year. Minnesota dispatched the White Sox
last night with the far less imposing Boof Bonser on the
mound, so they should have no difficulty making it two
in a row. And the price on this game is a real bargain.

This game will be a pitcher's duel between L.A.'s Greg Maddux and San Francisco's Brad Hennessey and runs will be at a premium in this one.

Mad Dog has been on a solid run since moving west from the Windy City. In three starts in Dodger blue, the veteran righty has a 0.90 ERA, having allowed just two runs, nine hits and four walks. Not surprisingly, each of those three starts stayed under the total.

Six days ago, he tossed eight shutout innings against these same Giants. At one point, he retired 22 straight batters and never did he toss more than 11 pitches in an inning. He should have little problem with this San Fran team that is batting just .217 in its last seven contests.

Brad Hennessey has been a stud for the Giants this year and has he has a 2.14 ERA in seven starts. Five of those efforts have stayed under the total and he has a 1.08 ERA in his last three trips to the bump. In five career starts against L.A., his ERA is only 3.16.

L.A. has stayed under the posted price in three of its last five overall while the Giants have failed to top the total in three of their last four at home. The N.L. West is ultra tight right now and every game is being played with playoff intensity. This game will, too, and it will come in under the total.
