Adding another dog..............

San Jose State +16 over Hawaii

Once again, I'll take almost any team in the nation getting over 15 pts from Hawaii, even if it's in Hawaii.
*** Reasons Hawaii won't cover this spread ***
1) Hawaii isn't the type of team to try to run it up on the other team. They are capable of running and gunning, but they'd rather play a half court ball control game and play to just win instead of blowing out their opponents.
2) They often take the 8 to 10 pt lead and they sit on it and play conservative, often times lazy. They are also have tendency to fall into scoring droughts.
3) Not to mention they aren't the best free throw shooting team down the stretch, which also makes it hard for them to hold or build a big lead.
4) Not to mention their rebounding is their biggest flaw, which allows even weaker opponents, who might not be shooting well, stay in the game.
5)San Jose st, again, will try to slow the game down and Hawaii tends to get trapped into playing down to their competition which is another huge flaw of theirs.
(San jose st exploited all these flaws when they upset Hawaii earlier this season.)
6) I don't see San jose st stealing another game now in Hawaii, but I predict they will play the same slow, ball control, eat clock type of game to fustrate Hawaii.
7) Hawaii could be looking ahead to the huge game against Tulsa this Thursday.

Only way I see San jose st not covering is if:
San Jose st doesn't take care of the ball and allows Hawaii to shoot a very very high percentage from the field.
San jose st does something stupid like try to play an up tempo game with Hawaii.

Things gotta go almost perfectly for Hawaii to cover the large spread. It doesn't have to go nearly as perfectly for San jose st to cover. I'll take the doggy and the large pt spread instead.
That's all I got today, goodluck!

Hello There - Terrific write up. I couldn't have said it better. You seem to know a lot about Hawaii. Do you follow them? As stated before, my heart is always with Hawaii but can't let that dictate my betting. Have learned the hard way to always bet with the head and not the heart. Now I'm gonna sit back and watch the game.

Aloha!

Ps. I did take Hawaii @ -8 for the 1st half.

I follow the west coast teams in the nation the most, one of them being the Wac conference. Goodluck.

PS: I can't believe Boise st beat Fresno st in fresno tonight. Fresno st just beat OK st last week. Fresno st is the only team in the wac I just can't figure out.

Hawaii 35-17 at the half. Looks like I might be wrong. Hawaii came out with that "Eye of the Tiger" and has been blowing out SJS. SJS did not make a FG in the last 9 minutes of the half. It was 35-11 when coach Wallace took out 3 of his starters and put in his regular bench warmers. They gave up 6 FTs. The way this game is going, it looks like we have to depend on coach Wallace emptying his bench with 3 minutes. Ha! Ha!

Your coverage of the west coast teams are great. I only follow the WAC. Will try to give you my $.02 whenever I can. As for Fresno, like I said earlier, they are made up of a lot of players with "I" problems. That's their main problem. Unless they win the WAC tournament, their season is over.

Todays results
Dog picks: 3-3
chalk picks keep sucking: 2-4

Overall now:
Dog picks: 23-13-1 (Coat-tail these)
Chalk picks: 15-27-1 (Fade these)

PS: On my analysis, San jose st needed to just take care of the ball in order to cover the large spread, oh well, they didn't do that, they deserve to lose big. Out of the last 14 or so days, only once my doggies have hit under 50% overall. Still on a phenomenal run picking the dogs. Have fun, laters.
