5-9 yesterday, DOH! 22-23 for year, -3.74 units. Looking for a better day.:p

Cinci-125 (Reitsma/Ohka) x1.5
Reitsma a good young pitcher with 95mph fastball, good sinker, and changeup. Started off last year great, 26IP, 3ER, in his first full yr in the majors. Ohka has been bounced around, has average stuff, needs to spot his pitches to be effective. Cinci almost pulled off a huge comback, scoring 6 in the bot 9th to lose 8-7. They should be able to touch Ohka for a few runs with plenty of lefty hitters getting good looks at the plate. Mont bullpen has been overworked already early in the season

Good Luck

TJ :thefinger Right back at you, you SOB.:thefinger

Cubbies-170 (Clement/Fogg)
Probably asking for trouble as the Cubbies bats haven't done much at all the last few games. Fogg has average arsenals, was a decent reliever, but he doesn't fool anyone with his pitches, and the Cubbies should be able to hit him hard the 2nd time around. Clement is by far the better pitcher, the knock on him is that he does terrible in day games, his former teams even moved him around the rotations so he could get nite starts. But last year he did a complete 360, ERA 3.6 in day games. When he's on he's virtually unhittable. He's also another pitcher who gets off to good starts in April. Had decent spring numbers, as well.

Good Luck

Marlins+112 (Beckett/Coggins)
Beckett another young flame thrower with a great sinker. Good spring numbers. Can't see Coggins shut down the Marlins like Duckworth did, Coggins also struggled in the spring. And also TJ's red hot.:thefinger

Good Luck

was up dubs...like the cincy play a lot...but doesnt that florida bullpen scare you? by the way if a pitcher did a complete 360 he would be right back to where he started ...which in this case he would be struggling again in day games...so he did a 180..lol..just kidding...i assume you think beckett is going to pitch deep into the game...cooz

cooz, you're right, my mistake, it's 180. :p Great call on the Celts last nite.

I don't think Beckett will go more than 6 or 7, actually. So yes, the bullpen will prob be a factor. Looper is an enigma, but Nunez pitched well all spring. They both pitched last nite and did well. Coggin faced Fla twice last year, lasted 4 2/3 each time, giving up 4 and 5 ER's each time. So I'm counting on Fla to get 2, 3 run lead into the late innings and take my chances at plus return with a :moon: bullpen.

Good luck today, gents:toast:

SD/SF Under9.5 +100

Yesterday's game proved once again that Barry Bonds is the only offense they have right now. That 2 run shot on the bot 10th was incredible. But no one besides Aurilia and Bonds are doing much at the plate. SD, on the other hand, were shutout twice and scored 1 run yesterday in 4 games. The Under at even money looks good.

Yanks/TBB Over9 ev
Both had struggled in the spring. Alcarez avg 3IP over 5 appearances in the spring, so the TB bullpen will get some work in today. There should be plenty runs scored in this game.

Detroit+175 (Cornejo/Colon) x0.5
Why not? Detroit does have a talented lineup, maybe Cornholio will pitch a good game.

GOOD LUCK ALL

Texas -150 (Irabu/Ortiz) x1.5

Irabu for the first time in his career, seems to be taking Major League baseball seriously. Went to winter ball to get in shape and work on his mechanics, and had a successful spring. Would not have made the team if he didn't show the dedication, and it showed in the spring (4-1, 3.6ERA). Ortiz pretty much all spring had been throwing heaters one after another, had 30K's but 18ER in 26IP. Tx is full of dead fastball hitters. There could be some fireworks in Texas tonite. If there's a time to back Irabu it's now, because he'll probably fade away by midseason.

Good Luck!!
