New Orleans Bowl

UL Lafayette (-6.5) 1 unit. pretty straight forward - i think lafayette is the better team. while neither team has a 'big' win, i'd say beating monroe (although browning didn't play much) and wku is more impressive than beating utep and marshall. ecu didn't beat a single bowl team this year. both teams played an sec team this year - ecu got blown out at south carolina, while ul lafayette led at florida with 2 minutes left in the game and were a blocked punt away from going to OT.

for me, the biggest question mark for the ragin' cajuns is motivation. i hate playing bowl teams who are near home. last year, they were excited to be in their first bowl game. now they are 'home' for the 2nd straight year, playing the same bowl game they won on a last-second 50-yard field goal. how fired up will they be? but i don't see anything from ecu that makes me think they can take advantage of a flat layafette team.

over (67.5) 1 unit. both teams can move the ball through the air, and both give up over 270 passing yds/game. i don't expect much defense.

Las Vegas Bowl

boise (-5.5) 1 unit. this is probably too easy, but this is certainly not the same caliber boise team we're used to seeing. and this is one of the rare bowl games when we have to question boise's motivation. this is their 3rd straight year in the las vegas bowl. after all the success they've had recently, will they still be fired up to play a pac 12 team? i'm putting my faith (and cash) on chris petersen.

under (44) 2 units. two solid defenses. i don't see either team sustaining many drives, especially washington.
