Georgia -150 (@ Bama) for 1 unit ? yesterday?s game was rained out so they will play a doubleheader today. This line was -185 yesterday and it is the same pitching matchup. Senior Trevor Holder (2.08 ERA in 17 1/3 IP) goes for Georgia. Bama counters with Senior Austin Hyatt (1.89 ERA in 19 IP). Hyatt is pretty good so I?m just going small on this simply taking advantage on the smaller price. After Hyatt, Alabama?s pitching drops way off while Georgia has two more quality starters in Grimm and McRee. If they put a line up for the second game later today, take Georgia even if the price is near 200.
Oklahoma St. +110 (vs. Cal State Fullerton) for 1 unit ? Cowboys play two games today with an earlier contest against Rhode Island. Junior Tyler Lyons (1.38 ERA in 13 IP) goes for Okie State while Fullerton throws Junior Kyle Witten (3.31 ERA in 16 1/3 IP). Witten left his last start early with discomfort in his hip, but pitched an inning of relief earlier in the week and seemed fine. Still feel the pitching edge has to go to Lyons and think Okie State can get revenge despite having to play two games today.
Baylor +130 (@ A&M) for 1 unit ? Should be a good game with both teams being ranked in the top 5. Junior Kendal Volz (1.86 ERA in 19 1/3 IP) takes the mound for the Bears going against Sophomore Brooks Raley (2.50 ERA in 15 1/3 IP) for A&M. Baylor?s pitching has anchored them this year as their offense hasn?t put runs on the board. Tough spot for them to break out of the slump, but they have not fared well the last couple of seasons against the Aggies so they will be motivated. This is the best pitching matchup for them in my opinion as the Sunday and Monday games will heavily favor A&M.
