Took off the last thee nights, eager to play today....lets get some winners.

One play early:

Iliini -1 over Arizona......riding the unranked fav sysytem.....only 1-2 this year, so lets hope it evens up today......think Illini's defense can thwart the inconsistent wildcats. Even though Az got into town yesterday, still think the early starts favors Illinois.

Taking a gander at the schedule, it is intersting to point out how important this day is for the big 10.....seven on their teams have big challenges that could go a long way in determining the teams and the league's collective reputation.

Illinois-Az
Iowa-ISU
UM-Duke
UK-IU
Purdue-Mizz
Mich St-BYU
Wisco-Marquette.

Heck, even Penn St-Seton Hall.

Big 10 has been taking a lot of heat. I still think they are on pace for six possible bids into the dance. I am intrigued to see how they fare today.

Of course, the game i am most interested in is my Hoosiers, playing the hated Wildcats of UK....it is at Assembly Hall, the first time this rivalry has been played on the IU campus since December 1990.

Whats scary about that is that a young Toledo Prophet was a freshman at IU back then and was at the game......sigh.....good times...how long ago was that?....Jamal Mashburn and Damon Bailey were freshmen.....it was Pitino vs Knight....UK was still on probabtion.....where has all the time gone....place will be rocking, for sure, my heart says IU should roll, but Gordon is banged up, these games are always tight, and IU has hardly been playing up to their potential....intersting sibling battle w/ the Crawford kids today as well.

Duke-UM will be a blood letting, but UK-IU is on CBS afterwards and should be a blast to watch!

Hard to believe this sucker is going to OT......gotta figure it favors Az right now, as the Cats look stoked to be playing 5 more minutes, while the Illini are probably like, 'hey haven't we won already.' Hopefully they can dig deep and pull this out.

Anyway, I just could not pull the trigger on the 2:00 tips:

Iowa-ISU....two crappy teams, not worth my $
Dayton-Lousivlle....i won going against the Cards last week and while I like DU they aren't the same on the road.
GM-Kent.....lot of solid cappers here on Kent. I wish them luck. I dont like going against good CAA teams, rather just see how this plays out.
WF-UGA......i like UGA, but WF has looked better than expected lately. Line is climbing, which I did not like.

Anyway, I was too wishy washy on all them.....I find something else to play later today.

Adding:

Lville 2H -10 over Dayton......think Cards get their act together in the second half and win this game....I now have a -12 fav for -2, so I'll take those odd.

St. Mary's -165 ML over SDSU.....expect the Gaels to get the win here and I'm paying extra juice--well in this case quite a bit--as insurance. A tight game, but they'll get it done down the wire.

Good luck.

Illini suck....and it wont be the last time I say that this season!!! :142smilie

Boy, do I need a turnaround....lets try and get it w/ these three.

PU +10 120 over Missou......these are two of darkhorses this year.....like both of them as dogs.....line grew to 9.5, and I bought the extra half.....PU covered as DD dogs in Clemson, think they can do the same here....i like Painters club a lot this year to make noise in the Big 10.

IU -7 over UK.....homer pick, but I think IU is primed for a great peformance. UK is banged up and has had problems scoring all season......really think IU can run away and hide in this game like they did in the 2005 matchup.

MSU +2.5 over BYU....sticking w/ the Big 10....MSU has not been been vintage in recent seasons, but this year's team looks like it can make some noise.....the building will be against them, but Izzo's squad can handle it.

Good luck!

Ok. Things looking a bit better than a few hours ago. Hopefully these teams can hold on and the MSU has another big run in them. Bball is funny, so these suckers aren't done deals yet.

Anyone, adding one early evening game:

Wsico ML -160 over Marquette......Badgers. At home. To win. I'll take that anytime. I do like Marquette's guards a lot, but this is about as cheap as we're gonna get the Badgers at home all season, so I am buying.

Good luck! And lets go Hoosiers! Close this game strong!!!

Adding so far for tonight:

URI +6 over Scuse......love what the Rams have done so far this....put up points in bunches.....hate what the Orange of done so far this year......give up points in bunches.......URI looks like a live dog tonight.

SIU -3 ove UNCC.......hate road chalk, but Salukis play great team D and that sort of game travels well.

Sitting on 3-2-1 for the day with three pending and a new play about to tip.....Boilers were the push, I shouldn't be too angry since it was not a loss, but they flat out collapsed down the stretch. I'm sure I'm not the only one cursing them tonight.

This is my final play for the day:

APSU +1 pver Evansville.....The Guvs are the best the OVC has to offer.....Aces the worst MVC has to offer.....Evansville will play tough tonight at home, but I think APSU is by far the better team. While the MVC is a good league, I dont think its so much better a league that their worst can beat a league contender from the OVC......maybe the linemakers just roped me into a trap, but I'll take the chance here with the Governors.

Good luck tonight!!!
