wow.what a night....just got back from Starbucks here in Austin... all my "burnt orange " boys were drinking their cafe latte's mourning their 2 big loses last nght...in football Texas had Texas Tech beat winning 23-20 late in the 4th quarter...then frosh qb on a 3rd and 2 throws across his body running out of the pocket for a TT interception..throw it away..you have the best punter in the nation..TT scores and wins from behind...
in hoops it as a little different...Texas up by 18 in 1st half.I took Duke -5.5 for a pretty big play....what was I thinking...Texas playing great..Bambo although raw is tough...Osetkowski for Texas is a force...Texas just flat out blowing the Dukies out..Grayson has 3 fouls and sits out the 1st half...0 points...my heart is cheering for the Longhorns because I can't stand Duke...but money talks so lets go Blue devils..then 2nd half..then Texas starts taking poor shots, mistakes,Bamba foul trouble,etc,etc...Texas up 8 pts with 5-6 minutes left...then Bagley takes over....wow...unreal freshman...then Shaka with a 6 pt lead replaces Bamba with 6'3 gd to play the front line..he has 6'11 Banks on the bench and doesn't play him..Duke alley oops 2 or 3 times inside for big time dunks..they scored about 8-10 inside the paint...Shaka Smart ain't to smart....anyway game goes into overtime...with a few seconds left Texas fouls and hits some FT's and I get a lucky, lucky, lucky cover as Duke wins by 6...
So the "burnt orange " had 2 wins in their pocket and let them both get away...and I had Texas Tech + for a small win...

Hofstra -3 over Siena *****

Love the Pride today...line this morning has gone up to -4.5..but jumped on it "like a Bagley dunk" last night
Hof has ben up and down but has Pemberton and Foreman who can score.

sorry computer problems
Foreman can score.former NYC HS stud...Pemberton also..Pride has some perimeters scorers..inside they have 6'9 Gutsys who was 4th in the nation in rebounding lyr..his scoring is down but avgs 11 bds a game..and today should be able to get a few off bds..Angus is 6'6 inside and a blue collar player..Pride can score..like last yr.. so what is thee problem..their defense is bad..they need to out score there defense...Siena is 0-4 and lost everyone..almost 80% of their offense..but head case Rico is back,,he scored the other 20% of points..he is a player..can drive, shoot and rebound...his one big problem last yr that caused him to be suspended for 5 or 6 games was " I ain't passing the ball"..Pastos this year should just let him go solo because they don't have anyone better then him...Bucknell scored 115 pts on them last week..Saints problem is ..they also play no defense..but at least last yr they had a few 1,000 point players on the team..Hof coach is one of my all time favorite coaches in Mihalich..he coached many years at Niagara in the MAAC and probably played Siena 30-40 times...not sure of his record vs them but he knows them..think Pride win this by 8-12 points...

Ga South +2 over Bradley *
Monmouth +1 over Penn **
Prov -7 over BC **
Ball St +1.5 over Indy St *
Georgetown -3 over Richmond **

yest
8-3 +14*'s
overall 40-23+40*'s
back later with one or two more....
North Texas -12 over Rice in football
We are going bowling....
Dilly..you were right about Bamba fouling out..50 cent...I was watching the whole game..crying the entire 1st half,,in fact crying until 2 seconds left in 1st over time...then a big smile to myself saying " what a genius I am" lol
Hoftra strong play..

Siena wins by a lot after being 0-4..new guys Penn plays in his 1st game and gets 10 assists..missed that my bad...

UTA -7 over Niagara ***
Think Mavs are much better then the Purple...Purple will be seeing the best pt gd they will face all year in Neal and the best C-PF-SG or what ever Hervey plays...Purple has Scott who is on fire..they are playing at home..but think Neal negates the home court advantage with his dribbling, passing and penetrating...

Pacific -3.5 over Texas St **
Both teams have bad offense.Pacific last yr had one of the worst offenses in the country...Bobcats to but at least they played defense..Pac has 8 new players,transfers,etc..think they have enough scoring to beat the Bobcats..

Valpo -9.5 over NC Wilma **
These guys don't miss Peters at all..they just keep on winning and covering..Wilma can't play defense

TCU -7.5 over Bonnies**
Adams didn't play for Bonnies and they still beat Maryland..I passed on the game..Adams is their best player..Mosbly is his partner and they are probably the 2 best gd tandem in the country..but think Adams is out...TCU is tough. They are physical with Vlad B inside..they have almost everyone back..think Fisher is still out..but 6'7 Williams plays gd.Miller is 6'8..Bane is another big gd,,Vlad is 6'11...Bonnies are playing a big, athletic team that plays tough defense..w/o Adams they have to score more inside and I don't se that..this TCU team is tough..
like UTA as a strong play tonite
