aj burnett was a freakin nightmare. that kid is truly an enigma. cant find the plate in the first, then pitches 5 perfect innings. then cant find the plate again. tough to back him if hes throwing the ball all over the place.

for saturday, played:

2 units....chicago cubs (+111) over colorado
chacon has been the rocks most reliable starter but for whatever reason, the cubs just continue to pound the ball at coors field for the second year in a row. chicago a very live dog today.

probably asking for trouble backing the marlins again, but gonna give em another shot. cards still not hitting the ball all that well. burnett didnt really get hit hard- he just walked every freakin guy in the lineup yesterday. i think beckett steps up and gets florida a win here

trying this prop as well:

1 unit....team to hit first home run in the game (cle vs. oak)
playing cleveland (+105)

3 reasons:

1) westbrook has only allowed one homer all year

2) westbrook is a ground ball pitcher whose main pitch is a sinker
that hitters dont elevate very well. (only 13 fly-ball outs the entore season, compared to 34 groundouts)

3) indians arent stringing a lot of hits together right now. theyre hitting a handful of solo shots and thats about it. no offense save for the longball from time to time. (2 solo shots last night)
