i've been ice-cold lately so caveat emptor on the picks. early games:
temple +17: one of the few things i've done right lately is fading the big duke lines vs clemson and princeton. chaney always brings his team back from the holidays ready to play, and owls' last game at umass was no exception. randolph and love still out for duke, and it's like no one notices that the blue devils are down to six scholarship players. funny thing is, the public continues to play on duke despite the injuries and recent noncovers, so the line here resembles the clemson and princeton lines despite the fact that the owls are clearly superior to those two.
the primary way that duke blows people out in cameron is by forcing t/o's, but temple is very protective of the ball, averaging a mere 8 t/o's per game. duke opens their acc road schedule next week at nc state, while temple is at home vs fordham. just too many points to give in this situation.
ohio st -3-: i'll go with unranked fav over ranked dog trend, plus i like osu in columbus.
tex tech +5-: taking the general plus the points in a nationally televise conference game in lubboch.
