In this (corner) end of the court we have Kenyon "The Thug" Martin and in the other (coner) end we have "Dick" Tracy McGrady!! Let's have a clean one tonight guys and come out fighting....
This is the one I have been watching and here's my take:
--------------------------------------------------
ATTENTION...ATTENTION...ATTENTION...ATTENTION
-McGrady has been listed as questionable with a groin. I believe he goes tonight outa sheer will. However, if he doesn't then I will reconsider...but...for right now here it is.
--------------------------------------------------
-You bet the Magic have had this one circled on the calendar since a week ago last night (Jan. 4th) when Martin "clocked" McGrady. It probably contributed to the Magic's 8 pt. loss last night to Port (82-84). Orlando played last night like their focus WAS on tonight's Nets "rematch".
-McGrady has been quoted as saying, "The (bleep) tried to kill me. You better believe I'll remember that. He's coming to my home now. It will be added motivation for me and for our entire team."
-A week ago Friday the Atlantic Divison leading Nets lost (in NJ 109-96) to this 4th place Atlantic Divison Magic team. Ya gotta love a little extra fuel on the rivalry fire tonight.
-Basically, Kenyon "The Thug" made matters worse....as far as McGrady and the Magic were concerned.....when he appealed the $5000 fine and 2 game suspension.
-This line came out earlier at Magic -3 and a total of 191. Then, it went off the board and since has reappeared at NJ -1 and 193.
-One would think this will be a VERY tightly called game by the officals. That fact should help the OVER as they shoot FTs all night long.
-Since the "match" in NY on Jan. 4 both teams have played well (with the exception of the Magic's loss to Port last night):
Nets played 3 since Jan. 4:
LAC...108-89...win
Mia...104-91...win
Char...89-80...win
Magic played 4 since Jan. 4:
Port...92-94...loss
Philly...102-91...win
Bost...98-87...win
GS...118-109...win
-Both teams have been scoring well since the "match"......which bodes well for the "rematch".
-Lowest team score for a game was the 89 posted by the Nets in their Charlotte game.
-Magic are playing back-to-back tonight and the Nets come in on one days rest.......but who cares.....fatigue will not be an issue as this one plays out.
-I see both teams leaving it ALL on the floor in the "rematch".
-IMO the Magic's loss to Portland last night has given us some "line value" here.
Therefore, will be playing:
---->Over 193
---->Magic +1
GL guys! As things develop....please feed whatever you read or know about McGrady's status into the forum. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
