I just noticed Rusty Wallace is 15-1 at Carib
On a short track

OK I'm about to make one of my biggest pre-qualifying plays of the year. Rusty should have won the first race and has 6 lifetime wins at the track. Plus his qualifying run will get him a top 5 start. And 2 weeks ago he had Bristol all but won except for the bump and run by Gordon. If he goes off at more than 7-1 by racetime I'd be shocked.

Wow! :brows:

Another good play may be on Jr. who won the first race at the track and in 6 lifetime starts at Richmond has 2 wins a 3rd and 5 top 10 finishes. He also qualifies well. I just have a hunch, however, tha he isn't going to win the race. Gordon is favored but I don't see him making it 3 in a row and Stewart for whatever reason hasn't been himself of late.

Hey guys.....hope all is well. I've been buried at work and haven't had the time to contribute recently (which is a good thing considering I haven't had the 24 to win the last 2 weeks).

However, I'm still following the same principle that has been so profitable for me over the course of this year.....value. Sure, 24 looks real good now. So does the 20.....(although he had a tough race last week), but I will still be looking for a good Richmond driver who is running well right now.

That leads me to play the 99 early at 15-1. I'm also looking at the 12 because he will no doubt win a race before the year is over the way he has been running the last few months.

Other than that, the 8 is interesting (although he only has 1 win here Myron, and not 2), but I'm concerned with his inconsistency.

If I would have to choose any of the top guys, it would obviously have to be Stewart who has 3 wins here already.

Im going to for my limited amount of time I have for Nascar do much like last week. Look for good match ups with the top guys running for the points title. Just 2 maybe 3. As for winner of race same thing. It work out ok last week nothing big but ok. As for those out of top 5. Here Rusty needs to be considered and 8 and 88. Jr is tough or troubling how he is so good and then has been fading late in the race. Im not sure if this is 12"s week. That 99 at odds of 15 to 1 is very interesting. But back to above. I think winner comes from one of the top 5 in points. I will not play the 40 to win how ever. I dont think he will this week. Finish Top 5 or 6 yes. And in any match ups I use. I will not pit any of the top 5 aginst each other. GL

Yeah Jr. is intriguing. He was by far and away the fastest in Busch series qualifying and practice. Carib has him at 12-1 which is a lot higher than places like WSEX and others who have him at 7-1 and 8-1. I think I'm going to throw a couple of units on him while I can still get good odds. He has qualified incredibly on short tracks all year and if the Busch series results are indication he will be up front in qualifying which means he'll probably be about 7 or 8-1 universally after qualifying.

So my plays now are Rusty at 15-1 and Jr at 12-1.

BTW, ignore the 36th he had earlier this year. He got caught up in an accident but was fast until that time. He also finished in this race last year and won at Richond 2 years ago.

Yes understand. Im touching alittle on the 8 to. If he can run steady the whole race he can win. And yes he can handle these shorter tracks.

Jr fastest in first practice, qualifying and happy hour. Seems like a good bet for the Busch race no? If there is an upset it may be Spencer.

although i think spencer won the busch and winston race a few years ago, very seldom does this happen. two totally different cars. so i'm off the 8. i like a few dark horses, martin and kenseth and harvick. watch for the winner out of one of these.

j. gordon and elliott to start from the rear. gordon with a crash, going to backup car, which by the way is brand new, and elliott blew a motor in happy hour. good luck.
