YTD: 7-2-0.....nice 4-1 day yesterday, hopefully I can keep the good times rolling.....nothing jumps out at me as far this afternoon, but a few jumped out at me for tonight.
Indiana -150 ML over Xavier...1 unit.....wow, this line opened at -2 w/ a ML of -130, but while I was busy looking at college football and making lunch, its crawled up to -3 & -150......this is going to be a war with the experience backcourt of Lavender/Burell for XU going up the young amazing Frosh Eric Gordon and his backcourth mates Bassett, Ellis and Crawford....XU lost three longtime starters from last year's crew, but have more than enough quality replacement parts.....IU is breaking in new faces as well, but I think the deciding factor today will be DJ White.....We have a Big-10 contender playing an A-10 contender, you know IU will get X's best shot as they try to bag an impressive win.....plus Lavender will really be playing with the extra motivation of going against his old coach at Oklahoma.....by far the toughest test yet for Indiana's talented team, but I think they're up for the challenge....Gordon will be the best player on the court, and when push comes to shove look for the inside-outside game between he and DJ to push the Hoosiers to the victory lane.
Yes, this is a Homer pick, but I've had a keen eye for when to bet IU in recent seasons......sure, I am eager to put a little coin on my alma mater, and I think this is a good spot.....as much as X wants to bag a big win, so too does IU who have been rolling in the early going, but against less-than-stellar opponents.
I was going to make this a two unit play, but seeing that XU is a Blastoff pick, I'm keeping it as a 1 unit play!!
Texas +5 1/2 over Tenn.....i had WVA plus the points vs the Vols last night.....the 'Neers were able to keep pace w/ Tenn's attack, and with Augistin and Abrahms, the Horns have more horses.....should be a track meet....see this going down to the last shot.
Thats all I have so far....IU on the ML...and Texas +5 1/2.......I'll look over the card a few more times and see if I like anything else.
