Not going to be shy... just playing smaller than most... nice 4-2 start to the season, but should have been better except Baylor reaks & Miami, Ohio is a disaster. Won't play anything over 3* early as I have to see teams play before going bigger. Never could take two favorites like tonight in the past (Rice & Temple) but learning to lay chalk when it makes sense.

Okie State -6.5 (-120) for 3* - Game looks like a mismatch IMO... WASU should finish 8th to 10th in Pac 10 and have major QB issues after Brink graduating. Okie State should be solid as their OL shoud dominate and Zach can play QB. WASU still playing a long ways from home (Seattle isn't close to campus if you look on a map).

Syracuse +11 for 3* - I believe the Big 10 will be down and Northworstern has been terrible ATS recently as chalk. I'm not a big trend guy, but the Mildcats don't tackle well and will have problems extending the margin of victory. I hope Syracuse has improved and expect this game to be within double digits.

Pitt -13 for 3* - Don't love this play, but game is on National TV. Pitt should be MUCH improved and BG still plays in the MAC which is Midget America Conference... expect a 37-17 win or possibly worse. BG is a less than physical team who should get manhandled on the line of scrimmage.

East Carolina +9 for 3* - Glennon is a loser IMO and ECU gave Va Tech all they wanted @ Blacksburgh last year... ECU is playing in Charlotte and Skip Holtz is 26-11 ATS since he began coaching at ECU. The Pirates have the talent to take this game to the wire IMO and SU Win won't shock anyone especially with Glennon playing QB.

Florida -34 for 2* - Too many points to go bigger, but Florida should crush Hawaii 52-10 or maybe worse. Hawaii doesn't resemble their team from last year that got beaten like a drumstick by Georgia... this game should be a woodshed... how many time zones is Hawaii traveling to play this game @ 6:30 AM or maybe earlier Hawaii time??? Can't go bigger as Florida will probably have their 2nd & 3rd stringers playing after half.

Missouri -9 for 3* - I believe the Tigers could go undefeated through the regular season. Their toughest game is probably Texas in Austin and teh Horns appear down a few notches from normal. Chase Daniel and Macklin are Heisman candidates IMO & MU's defense appears MUCH improved. I expect a 2 to 3 TD win by MU and I don't expect them to let up like last year if they get a nice lead.

LSU -19 for 3* - Okay, I know Appy State's QB, Armanti Edwards is faster than anyone except for LSU's 5-5 RB (name escapes me). LSU is way too big on the line of scrimmage to make this a game plus this line is 27 @ Bet US... my offshore has a nice line on this game and I expect a 41-14 butt kicking. If Appy State plays this game close, I'll feel dumb... however, a woodshed seems in order.

Will add more plays as the day progresses... like to play a lot of plays for average money rather than pick a few and bet big. It's still early and I'm backing a lot of chalk with 5 favorites & 2 Doggies. Have more dogs later in the day. Chalk is 6-2 ATS to start the season & favorites typically role early in the year for the first couple weeks.

I appreciate the comments, posted elsewhere.

We sure had a blast last MLB playoffs and I'm hoping for more of the same this year.
As for CFB week 1, well, I'll be happy to survive.

Again, GL.

DD!!

As always, love checking out your posts! I am on ECU as well.....in addition to the coach's overall ATS record, they're 13-3 as a dog away from home during his tenure.

But, a little advice. That's fine you're backing Syracuse. I can support that. NW did lose to Duke last year. However for your own health dont watch the game. Backing the Orange is one thing, but then tuning in and watching it unfold might drive you crazy. They have been one of the more unwatchable teams in recent years and you might inadvertently put a hole in your wall lamenting a Coach Rob move or something.

You can find most of those other games on TV, so settle in on those games and catch the Orange score later or something. Win or lose, you'll enjoy the day much more. :SIB

In all seriousness, I like the card. And, I look forward to breaking down the season with you all fall!!

:toast:

I'm not a Missouri grad, actually went to Kansas. I live in Missouri and was born in Missouri.

More Plays!
Utah +3.5 (-115) for 3* - Tough backing the Utes @ the Big House, but Michigan could be offensively challenged early while Johnson has been at Utah since the stone age.

Virginia +19.5 for 3* - Cavs are 12-2 ATS their last 14 as a home dog. USC will have a GREAT defense, but their offense might have problems scoring enough to cover this number. USC just 5-11 ATS their last 16 as road chalk.

Memphis +7.5 for 2* - This rivalry has produced a NUMBER of close games and I don't think this year's game will be any different.

Washington +14 (-120) for 3* - Oregon still hasn't settled on a QB and Locker is solid enough to keep U-Dub close.

Kansas -35 for 2* - Game appear to be a woodshed.

Kansas State -27 for 2.5* - Another woodshed.

Back with more plays soon!

Switched to USC -19.5 for 3* after talking to a friend who played at Virginia. He told me this year's team is in full rebuilding mode. He also guaranteed Virginia wouldn't score more than 10 points today. Sorry I didn't post sooner, but was working out.

The name you were thinking of

The name you were thinking of

Trindon Holliday. Is the speedster for LSU, he is the fastest man in college football and perhaps the shortest. I just returned from the game, perhaps the hottest ever played, with heat index had to be 105, no breeze. If we get (c +) quarterback play we are a BCS team. My prediction we get raped on 4 or 5 calls in the Auburn game and go to the Cotton Bowl and face Texas Tech.

Must say, I was right on the money with this prediction... Glennon is a complete f*cking loser. Should have gone with ECU ML LOL!

Utah looks like two completely different teams from 1st half to 2nd half... I'm crossing my fingers the +3.5 holds, but not real promising right now.

12-7 for the day with Washington still pending. I'll take a positive first day and move forward and try to be more selective... 20 plays is too many for anyone.
