Starting with the game everyone knows I'll be on:
Arizona ML -165 over Stanford
A homer play no doubt but I'll bite on a line that has come down all the way from six where Vegas released it. . . road team has won the last six games in this rivalry so when will it stop?
Stanford has won the last three games at McKale yet Arizona has a record of 225-18 at home under Lute. The overwhelming odds say it will end tonight. I've obviously been to and watched several Arizona games. . . something that surprised me a little was to see Arizona pull most of their starters around the middle of the second half against Cal and every single player was icing their knees on the bench (something I did not see a lot in the past when Arizona was blowing teams away). Wonder what they were getting ready for? Why the rush? Did they have a big game coming up?
Again, I know this team quite well and they haven't looked any better than they have their past two games. . . especially turnover margin. After the holiday meltdown, I posted that it will be interesting to see the value Arizona receives when they begin Pac 10 play and we have seen the line move several points against the Cats when playing Arizona State and California which both turned into huge blowouts early. Now we see the line has moved against Arizona once again. Its probably not a good idea to go agaisnt line movements all the time but this to me looks like another good spot.
I'll be back soon with other plays that aren't homer picks!
