I lurk here more than anything, but figured I'd post my Saturday thoughts/plays:
Atlanta - like the pitching matchup here; don't see Rusch giving consecutive good outings and I expect a good effort from Glavine
Arizona - good doggie; Astacio in poor form; Dbacks good on the road with a pitcher in good form and for whom they win (8-3, I believe)
Pitt - favorable pitching matchup here with Ritchie in good form; don't expect the Expos bats to stay hot here; Yoshii will give up some runs
Minn - Radke in better recent form than Weaver; gut says Radke responds off of his last outing with a bigger effort and Minny gets back on track
Clev/KC over - neither pitcher in good form, far from it, in fact; better KC hitting last night makes me think their bats are awake again, and Cleveland's bats woke up this past week
Other leans I am also considering:
SF - Rueter 5-0 career vs St. Louis and recent 3 games show him in good form; SF bats are alive, as well; Kile 5-14 lifetime vs SF and his recent 3 games demonstrate poor current form; St. Lou's good home record and fear of a St. Louis bust-out scare me for now
Anaheim - Rapp's recent form (last 3 games ERA) and overall ERA make this pitching matchup appear pretty close to even; like Anaheim's bats waking up last night; what scares me right now is Anaheim's failure to generally back Rapp with runs and Seattle's general excellence at home and with Moyer on the mound (despite his average ERA numbers)
