hope everybody had a great thanksgiving. really love a game later today, but can't play it for more than 2 units, 'cause i can't hit a big play to save my life this year.
uk/tenn over (60.5) 2 units. i have a feeling tennessee is going to blow out the wildcats today, but i think the best play on this game is the over. two very capable offenses going against a terrible defense (uk) and what i imagine will be an indifferent defense (tenn).
wake (+1.5) 1 unit. the dog in wake games this year is 9-0 ATS (30-12 if you include the last 3 years). wake is a solid team, while maryland was exposed last weekend at bc.
wake/maryland under (39.5) 1 unit. neither offense is particularly explosive. there should be a lot of defensive intensity, as a trip to the acc championship is on the line.
east carolina (+3) 2 units. east carolina has been incredible ATS the last two years (17-5). this game sets up perfectly for them. nc state is wrapping up a terrible year. they got smoked by the tarheels last week. the pirates will be fired up to go into carter-finley and get a win.
utah (+10.5) 1 unit. just too many points in this fierce rivalry.
usc (-8) 2 units. this would be at least 3 units, if not for my big-game curse this year. as usual, notre dame is vastly overrated. i'm just not impressed by them winning the commander-in-chief's trophy. what is their most impressive win this year? a 4-point win over georgia tech? a 3-point win over michigan state? hardly awe-inspiring. two teams at completely different levels here. i cannot imagine nd stopping usc's offense. and usc will get enough stops of nd to turn this game into a laugher.
nevada (+3) 1 unit. not real confident in this one, but i gotta take the wolf pack who are 5-0 ATS at home against the broncos who are 1-4 ATS on the road. boise's closest game this year was 2 weeks ago against san jose st, and nevada is much better than san jose state.
hawaii (-19) 1 unit. purdue has already accepted a bowl bid, and they flat-out don't want to play this game. they'll just enjoy their vacation on the island, take their whuppin', and go home.
