still trying to creep back up on profitibility...
uconn (+4.5) 1 unit. jim leavitt has done an amazing job building this sf program. they have an excellent defense and some very nice wins. plus, matt grothe is an excellent college qb. what is being overlooked is the job randy edsall has done at uconn. he has also built a very good program in a short amount of time. they are the only undefeated team in big east play right now. i think this is going to be a very tough, low scoring game. advantage to the home dog.
north carolina (+5.5) 1 unit. just gonna keep playing the 'dog in wake forest games...
pitt (+10) 2 units. not sure if this totally conforms to the 'double digit rushing dog' theory, but it's close. pitt averages 160 ypg (4.2 ypc) on the ground, vs 153 (4.4) for louisville. pitt gives up 144 ypg (3.5 ypc) vs 160 (4.6 ypc) for louisville. this kid mccoy should have a big game against a porous louisville defense.
ball st (+13.5) 1 unit. ball st is 4-0 ATS as a dog (3-0 on the road). illinois coming off a very tough 4-game stretch.
colorado (+13.5) 1 unit. another borderline 'double digit rushing dog'. colorado averages 133 ypg (3.6 ypc) vs 40 (3.3 ypc) for tech. colorado gives up 130 ypg (3.823 ypc) vs 169 ypg (3.817 ypc) for tech. so the yards given up per carry is extremely close. and the discrepancy on offense is obviously due to tech's pass-happy offense.
penn state (+3.5) 1 unit. tough one. after staying off penn state's first game, i've gone 7-0 on psu games. obviously i'm overdue for a loss. but i love this defense as a home dog. first tough conference road test for broeckman. this game will be decided by special teams and turnovers.
