had a great day last saturday, including what will probably end up being my largest play of the year on temple. which means i'm due for a bad week. fade away.
georgia tech (-5.5) 1 unit. after a heart-breaking near miss against lsu, the bulldogs now have to face the option. never a good thing when you may not be entirely focused. with tech maybe looking ahead to fsu, the over is probably a good play, too.
oklahoma (-7) 2 units. let's see, it's not a bcs bowl game, so stoops should be ok. and for the two people who read my thread last week, it was no surprise to see harris struggle when he finally saw a defense that could pressure him and actually cover some receivers. well, oklahoma's defense is probably just as good, at least with respect to getting after the qb. i expect harris to continue to struggle today.
illinois (+7) 1 unit. hard to love the illini, but what has psu done to deserve to be laying a td on the road? they are 0-4 ATS. i'd like this more if benn had done anything this year, but if he's going to step up and have a big game, it's going to be against the still-untested psu defensive secondary. williams can buy some time with his legs. the only question is whether or not he can throw it close enough to benn for him to catch it.
michigan st (-3.5) 2 unit. geez, if i thought there was a chance in hell of this line going over 3, i would have got it earlier in the week. what has michigan state done to be favored in this game? not a damn thing. but that line keeps going up. really, really like this play.
arkansas (-1.5) 1 unit. gotta take the sec against the big 12.
also like syracuse, but not sure i can pull the trigger. south florida has absolutely dominated the orange lately, but this is a new syracuse team and the bulls are coming off a huge win. you know what, i just talked myself into it...
syracuse (+7) 1 unit. coming off a program-defining win with a redshirt frosh qb making his first start... everything points to a letdown against syracuse. one extra factor.... sf does have next week off, but then they have a primetime matchup with cincinnati on 10/15. could be a bit of a look-ahead.
