I do not think I will be around that much on Saturday so I thought I would post Saturday's probable plays....

Will confirm before games begin but I will probably play these three games........

Only playing the Sens on Friday........

San Jose - 1/2 -130- Hope Nabakov is not in net, definitely want to see what I can find on this before making the play.

Boston - 1/2 -140- Bruins are playing really well right now and the Isles are in a funk.

Colorado PK -110- expect this line to go up, teams going in opposite directions.

good luck, should be a great day of hockey on Saturday.

since you brought it up....

since you brought it up....

taken from a reliable sports wensite:

Burke sidelined up to two weeks with groin strain.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Phoenix Coyotes goaltender Sean Burke strained his groin during a 6-5 loss to San Jose and will be out 10 to 14 days, the team said Friday.

Burke (16-13-5), an All-Star last season, has started 34 of 44 games this season and has four shutouts for the fourth time in his career.

He allowed four of the Sharks' six goals after the second-period injury Wednesday.

The setback leaves the Coyotes with one goalie, Robert Esche (2-5-0), on the roster. Patrick DesRochers, Phoenix's top goalie in the minors, was recalled from Springfield of the American Hockey League on Nov. 19 and was sent back on Dec. 18.

The Coyotes play Detroit at home, travel to Colorado and come back to play Buffalo next week before starting a six-game road trip during which Burke is expected to return.

interesting, no?
they were pretty hot at home of late....think esche can get the job done?

If anyone can find out who is supposed to be in net for the Sharks please post. I looked at all of the Bay Area papers and Sharks' sites and could not find anything. Will look again in the morning.

Thanks-

113-90 y-t-d-

Here are the first two plays-

Boston - 1/2 -130 520/400- Two teams going in opposite directions, Boston playing like a Stanley Cup contender right now, and they are hot at home-

Colorado- PK -110- 330/300 two teams going in opposite directions part II. There are only two things that scare about this one. Will the Forsberg saga distract this team? Will the Oil bounce back after a lousy performance against the Canes? At a relatively cheap price I will take a shot with the better team and better goalie. Salo has looked shaky in his last few starts.

Still trying to get some type of confirmation on the Sharks tender today. Leaving for the day at 8:00 AM PST.

Good luck

Good luck! Glad to that the forum is back on it's normal axis.

I am passing on all the early ones. The wife and I are headed out for a few hours for lunch and to look a baby furniture! Should be back for the playoff game kick off, etc.

If anyone reads this and is considering the WASH/FLA game tonight, Jagr and Bondra are out again and Billington will likely be in net. They employed an interesting system last night vs. TOR and would imagine they will try that again tonight. Here is an article about it.

Good luck everyone.

Thanks for posting that article Sports Junkie. If they do play that type of system again, that under is definitely worth a look, especially with Jagr and Bondra still out.

Well, it wasn't that bad. Did not buy much, but boy do we have quite a list for future purchases!! Need some winners now more than ever! LOL ;)

Taking a few tonight all small 1/2 unit plays

Bos -.5 (-125) NYI have not beaten a quality team in weeks, and BOS is looking like they will be a force in the Eastern conference this Spring

WASH/FLA Un 5.5 (-125) I expect a lot of dump and chase from WASH tonight, and solid goaltending from Billington.

NJ ML (-125) This team has been very unpredictable but I like them getting Patrik Elias back tonight. Seems like a reasonable price on NJ who has been playing better than BUF lately. Need the NJ PP to get a couple. 0% on the PP the last 5 games.

MTL ML (+190) I was really impressed with how they played the other night at home vs. NYI. TOR played last night and sort of struggled vs. an undermanned Caps team. I think this is a good valued dog.

That is plenty.

Good luck everyone!

Ouch

Ouch

I know the feeling, Chenker. Went 1-2-1 myself. At this rate my kid will be sleeping on the floor! LOL That looked like a goal in the MTL/TOR game that would have won it for MTL. I thought it had to be a "distinct kicking motion"? Did not look like it to me.

I need to get this turned around. 6-9-1 since the new year for
-1.72 Units, and hovering just in the profit (barely, as in the single $$ range) for the entire season.

I stupidly abandoned my 1 good play a day plan a couple of times this week, and paid for it. I also usually don't take any on Saturdays cuz of so many games, much less FOUR! Very disappointed in myself for this past week. At least my Caps picked up some points on Carolina the past few days.

On to another day/week...
