Predicted Margin of Victory and Total Prediction
------------------------------------------------------------------------
FWIW, I have started to compute a margin of victory and total prediction based strictly on a (home and away) situation, ie...strictly on how the home team has performed "at home" vs how the road team has performed "on the road." My original/old way will be listed first, and the new one listed second and in (parenthesis) . I've only been keeping my database for about 4 weeks now and felt I didn't have enough informaiton as yet for this new way to be (hopefully) meaningful. It has helped me quite a bit the last 2 nights with side selections...haven't checked out the totals with it yet. The obvious reason for me doing this is I've noticed there can be a drastic difference between the way some teams perform at home vs on the road and I was tired of getting 'blind-sided' by this
hope it all helps.
Cleveland by 2.0 (3.0)...Total 195.0 (190.0)
Houston by 5.0 (Orlando by 1.0)...Total 192.0 (195.0)
Seattle by 3.0 (Boston by 1.0)...Total 188.5 (189.0)
L A Clippers by 3.0 (Dallas by 9.0)...Total 205.0 (211.0)
I've only seen 2 games with lines so far so will get back later if anything looks good although things look a little slim so far.
