Detroit -3

Like this one. I am no Horizon guru, but I know Detroit is on the come up and Clev St is struggling big time after losing their star players. Detroits big man is questionable, which would hurt, but I still think they win the game at home and cover the 3.

They lost to Cleveland St. 3 times last year, so you cant tell me those players dont know that and dont want to make a statement at home after opening the season pretty successfully thus far.

Ole Miss -17

Ole Miss is a force and I see them winning the SEC. Southern Miss beat the crap out of them last year, but lost most of their best players. Sure Southern Miss is off to a nice start and putting up nice offensive numbers, but who have they played? Theyre 5-0 but have only played 2 teams from Division 1 (LA Lafayette and Montana St) and they won those 2 games by a combined 9 points.

Whats worse is with that terribly weak schedule they are still one of the worst teams in the country as far as opposing teams shot %...teams are scorching their nets for damn near 60% from 2 and over 40% from 3.

Will be a long afternoon for the Eagles. Ole Miss will get up big and never look back. They have the defense to shut down So Miss only real legit scoring threat in Holton.

still looking at a few other plays I like, trying to narrow it down.

Iowa St. +8

Think the Cyclones are actually a live dog here. Brackins will control the paint and give Cal fits as they have nobody to defend the post at all. If the Iowa St guards can play some tough perimeter D, they have a legit chance of going in and pulling off the upset.
