penn st/minnesota over (50) 1 unit. two inept offenses... a total that is about a td higher than it probably should be... something strange is afoot at the circle k. i have no idea how these two teams score 40, much less 50. but it's going to happen.

northwestern (+6) 3 units. wildcats have covered 5 of the last 6 vs michigan st. this has all the makings of a letdown for the spartans. they've been on a tear, beating wisconsin, michigan, and pulling away late to beat illiinois. next week, they play iowa, who beat them on a td pass on the last play of the game last year. michigan st's 65th ranked pass defense should be tested by persa, who has completed 78% of his passes with 10 tds and only 2 ints.

syracuse (+13.5) 2 units. wow, this line dropped a few points for no apparent reason. it sure ain't because joe q public is hammering the orange. this is more of an anti-wvu play than anything else. they did not look good last week against usf. 'cuse has covered the last 2 trips to west virginia.

iowa (-6.5) 2 units. hawkeyes have covered 7 of the last 8 against wisconsin. badgers are 0-1 on the road this year. iowa is 3-0 straight up and ATS at home. unlike ohio st, iowa should be able to control wisconsin's running game. stanzi has finally stopped turning the ball over, with only 2 ints this year.

lsu (+5.5) 1 unit. this might be too easy. if i know jarrett lee is going to start, i'll probably bump this up. in the classic battle of offense vs defense, i'll usually take the defense. speaking of defense, lean to the under here.

marshall (+12.5) 2 units. another classic letdown spot. east carolina off the huge win over an in-state rival, with central florida on deck.

vanderbilt (+12.5) 1 unit. south carolina coming off auburn, alabama, and that tough loss at kentucky, and have a revenge game against tennessee up next. vandy has covered 3 straight vs the gamecocks, who are 0-2 straight up and ATS on the road this year.

georgia (-4) 1 unit. can kentucky have anything left in the tank after the last 2 weeks? georgia has finally turned it around; hopefully they can carry that over into a road game. bulldogs also have revenge.

north carolina (+6.5) 2 units. another one that may be just a little too easy. tj yates has stopped throwing the ball to the other team (11 tds vs 1 int). in 6 matchups since these teams starting playing each other in the acc, unc is 5-0-1 ATS. miami's only home win this year is against florida a&m.
