rice/nw over (68.5) 3 units. northwestern is probably still celebrating their win at nebraska. i don't think there will be much focus on rice, a team they beat by 17 last year. including the eastern illinois game, all 3 of northwestern's home games have gone over. also, this line just seems higher than it needs to be, doesn't it? to put it in perspective, it's only 5 points lower than the total in the rice/houston game 2 weeks ago. oh, and here's an impressive number - in rice's last 51 road games, the over is 38-13.

buffalo (+3.5) 1 unit. emu, perennial mac doormat, swept the directional michigan cup this year, which had to be HUGE for them. the natural letdown from that began last week with a tough loss to ball state, and i believe it will continue this week, with another loss to a bad football team.
baylor (-21) 1 unit. huh. who could have predicted the turner gill hiring would turn out to be a bad idea? it was just a few short years ago kansas had become a decent football team. then they fired the fat man and brought in a bad head coach. what could go wrong? baylor's offense finally started rolling in the 4th quarter against ok st, and i see no reason why it would stop against an apathetic jayhawk defense.
georgia (-12) 2 units. georgia is on a tear right now. the home team has covered 4 straight in this matchup.
illinois (-1) 3 units. isn't it amazing how mediocre michigan's offense looks against a decent defense? well, illinois' defense is pretty good, and they've had an extra week to prepare for this game. michigan has to be feeling that they've started yet another late-season collapse. strong lean to the under, too.
k st (+5.5) 1 unit. only question for me is does k st still have anything left in the tank? what a ridiculous stretch they've been through, and they've been undervalued by the linesmakers all season. their only slip-up was a terrible 2nd half against oklahoma. a&m has dropped 7 of their last 8 ATS. and yes, i understand this line is very fishy. that's why it's only for one unit.
wku/lsu under (49) 1 unit. even with lsu's defense unfocused this week, i don't see the hilltoppers putting up many points. i think they had to make the total higher than they wanted to simply because the line on the game is so high. hard to make a total of 44 when the spread is 42.
la tech (-2) 3 units. wow. i mean, wow. la tech favored at ole miss. the la tech offense has really exploded since cameron took over. isham is listed as questionable this week, but i'm hoping after being named wac player of the week, cameron will be starting.
