iowa st (+6) 2 units. the line drop doesn't make sense. iowa state's big win last week was against a tcu team that just lost its qb. and k st is just rolling through their schedule. you think maybe the wildcats are looking ahead to wvu next week?
k st/iowa st under (48) 2 units. another puzzling line move on the same game.
minnesota (+3) 1 unit. i'm just not sold on this northwestern team laying points on the road. the current combined record of the teams they've beat is 8-17.
texas/ok under (58.5) 2 units. wow, why is this line dropping?
uconn (-5.5) 2 units. why was this line more than a fg to start with? two evenly matched teams, and temple off a big win over south florida. and temple is 6-0 ATS against uconn. the owls were pretty jacked up for their first big east game, and i expect a letdown against a very physical uconn team.
north carolina (-7.5) 2 units. gotta love laying this many points in a conference road game. but the tarheels have been rolling ever since halftime against louisville. miami is allowing 9.5 yards per pass attempt, which is 3rd worst in the country, behind army and FAU. they actually made golson look like a competent qb last week. and it's not like they'll be able to focus on renner this week, because unc is rushing for 200 yards/game.
stanford/nd under (43) 2 units. two offenses that need to establish the run, against two defenses that have been very tough to run on this year. i'd like stanford in this game, but nunes is making only his 2nd road start, and he wasn't very good in his first one (at washington).
san jose st (-3) 2 units. the spartans are on a roll, covering 8 straight games. having a week off after the navy game should really help. and utah st is coming off a tough loss to byu.
vanderbilt (+9.5) 1 unit. maybe this one is too easy, so only 1 unit. talk about a sandwich game for florida. off that win over lsu, and they have south carolina and georgia coming up the next 2 weeks. vandy has covered 9 straight at home.
tennessee (+3) 2 units. wow, an undefeated, ranked team only laying 3 at home to a 3-2 team? well, here's who miss st has beat:
kentucky
s alabama
troy
auburn
jacksonville st
hardly a murderer's row.
i like la tech, but i think the best play on this game is over (79.5) for 2 units. la tech has been great ever since cameron took over as qb last year. but i don't know if their defense can get enough stops to keep this game within one score. but la tech will certainly put up some points, especially if a&m is looking forward to their game against lsu next week.
