michigan st (-7) 3 units. i will preface these comments by saying it seems like i always lose the first game i post for the day. so fade away, especially on a big play like this. but this line is fucked up. why the hell is michigan state laying a td here? they are BEGGING for nw money. the spartans are 0-6 ATS at home this year. nw is 9-1 ATS overall for the season. the road team has covered 10 of the last 11 in this matchup. i don't know how you can make a single argument for sparty today. and yet they are laying a td.
bowling green (-2.5) 1 unit. in the battle for the mac east title, i'll take the home team with the much better defense.
cincinnati (-6.5) 2 units. the bearcats finally benched munchie for a guy who may be able to throw straight. obviously rutgers' defense will put up a litle more resistance than temple did in kay's first start, but i really like the bearcats today. both these teams have lost to mac teams this year though, so who the hell knows what will happen?
bc (+9.5) 1 unit. let me get this straight. vt has had an INCREDIBLY disappointing season. they have lost 4 of their last 5 games. they are 0-5 on the road, both SU and ATS. they finish the season against virginia next week. and they are laying points on the road? are they even going to show up for this game?
mississiippi (+19.5) 2 units. huge letdown game for the tigers. back-to-back home games under the lights. now here comes weak little ole miss for a 3:30 kickoff. well, here's the scores from ole miss' last 7 visits to lsu:
L 43-36
W 31-13
L 23-20
L 27-24
L 14-13
L 20-9
W 37-31
you have to go back to 1996 to find the last time LSU beat ole miss at home by more than 11 points.
utah st (-3.5) 3 units. la tech has been very, very, very good to me, going back to last year. but this line is BEGGING for la tech money. the only game utah st has lost ATS this year was when they gave up a backdoor cover to colorado st with 1:43 left in the game. they obvious key here is the defenses. utah st will actually be able to get a few stops, which will be the difference in the game.
san jose st (+3) 1 unit. i really like the spartans here. my biggest concern is a look-ahead to next week's game against la tech. if their defense is focused on this game, they should win a low-scoring slugfest.
