1st half was all Fort Wayne for the most part...for 18 mins they shot over 60% from the field including 9 for 13 from 3. up nearly 20 at one point their FG % fizzled back down towards the end of the half although still shooting 9 for 13 from 3.
Omaha a team that normally shoots above average from 3 shot just 2 of 9 in the first half. have a handful of guys that are capable of knocking down the outside shot, so not relying heavy on 1 guy to keep them in it with long range shots.
14 of 29 shooting overall for Omaha, so Omaha is getting all they want inside the arc and lane, over 60%
Omaha down 11 at half has to feel like they are still in it because their 3 hasnt really gotten rolling yet. dont really need it to if youre shooting over 60% inside the arc but if adjustments are made and the 3 gets more open looks, they are capable of knocking it down.
ill take Neb Omaha +6 in the 2nd half. if Fort Wayne can continue near 70% from 3, hats off to them but I am going against that. also the fact that theyre a piss poor 60% free throw shooting team and commit a bunch of fouls on defense.
by no means is Neb Omaha anything that resembles a GOOD team, but they have been playing better the last few games, which doesnt require much for them.
