texas (+11) 1 unit. ugh. I can offer no rational explanation for how the horns can stay somewhat close in this game. BUT... the line opened at 13.5 with the whole world on Oklahoma (jumping on that line before it hit 14, no doubt). and the line has dropped instead. still treading lightly, but that line movement makes no sense.

Indiana (+9.5) 2 units. the hoosiers led the Spartans 27-14 at halftime last year before laying an egg in the 2nd half and finally losing the lead with 6 minutes to go. I gotta believe Indiana will be fired up today and the Spartans are coming off a tough road win at iowa. I like the hoosiers to stay close and maybe even pull off the win.

ind/msu over (53.5) 1 unit.

umass (-5.5) 2 units. almost a 3-unit play, but it's REALLY hard to trust the minutemen laying points. 2 terrible teams with inept offenses (neither team has scored more than 14 in a game this year) and there's no logical reason for the line to move up 2 points.

Miami/umass over (45) 2 units. total hunch. this total could be 40 and they'd still have plenty of action on the under. but it's at 45 and not moving.

Utah (+7) 2 units. damn i'm stubborn. I keep playing Utah and I keep playing against Stanford. now these trends come together. classic trap game for Stanford. tough win at Washington last week and they play ucla next week (followed by Oregon st and Oregon). the line has dropped to 7. Utah has had a few extra days to prepare. I really like the utes to keep this one close.

Wisconsin (-10.5) 2 units. not often you'll see an unranked team laying 10.5 points to a ranked team. i'm not sure either of these teams are really that good. here's every team these two have beaten this year: cal, Syracuse, western mich, maine (northwestern) and umass, tenn tech, purdue (Wisconsin). not exactly a signature win for either team. that said, I gotta believe northwestern put everything they had into last week's game. coming up just short had to take a lot out of them. I look for the badgers to grind this one out and pull away late.

ala/uk under (52) 1 unit. final score 24-0.

penn st (+2.5) 2 units. in Michigan's one road game, they damn near lost to UConn. UConn!!

Washington st (pk) 2 units. expected to be 45? at game time... I think those southerners from Oregon will struggle up there in the cold. :)
