ECU (+9.5) 2 units. big letdown from the hokies and they open conference play next week. they won't completely overlook the pirates after last year's close win, but they may not be ready for this offense.

Louisville/Virginia under (47) 3 units. Virginia's defense has been very good so far this year. it'll be interesting to see how gardner handles their pressure in only his 3rd career start. i don't see Virginia moving the ball much today, either. it may take 3 TDs on defense or special teams to send this game over. thinking about Virginia on the ML, too. may be worth a shot.
UTSA (+13) 2 units. the roadrunners have been somewhat impressive so far this year. they dominated Houston then followed up that big win with a tough loss to Arizona. not sure that ok st will take them seriously after dominating them last year (28 of UTSA's 35 points were in the 4th quarter). only thing that scares me.... the dreaded backup qb. i just saw that walsh got knocked out of their last game and won't play today.
FAU (+1) 3 units. way too much love for the golden showers, er, hurricane. it's their first road game with a qb that has thrown 4 INTs in 2 games. that gives him 14 INTs in 8 career starts. in his 3 road starts, he has 1 TD and 8 INTs. i think the owls will be glad to be home with an opponent they can handle.
