central michigan (-5) 2 units. wow, starting right off with road chalk. but virginia is reeling, losing their first 3 games under bronco mendenhall. last week, they gave up 10 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to lose at uconn. and they drove down to the 3 at the end of the game, only to watch their walk-on kicker, kicking in his first game at any level, miss the 20-yarder to tie the game. while i can't imagine an 0-3 team would overlook anyone, virginia does open acc play next week against duke. speaking of overlooking an opponent, here's a question.... is there any concern that a mac team could be looking past an acc team? the chips open conference play against another directional michigan next week. a team they have lost to the last 2 years. assuming they are focused on the cavs, cmu should cover this spread.

byu (+7) 2 units
byu (ML) 1 unit to win 2.5. yeah, this line feels like a sucker line. wvu has beaten missouri and youngstown st. so they really haven't been tested. byu has already played 3 PAC 12 teams, and haven't lost by more than 3. their defense will keep them in this game.

arkansas (+6) 2 units.
arkansas (ML) 1 unit to win 2.1. i like the hogs to finally beat the aggies in arlington. they've been getting closer and closer the last 2 years. time for them to finally win this game. trevor knight is hardly lighting it up for a&m. not including the game against prairie view, he's completing 51% of his passes.

south florida (ML) 2 units to win 3.5. if the 'noles don't regain focus after last week's drubbing, south florida will be all too happy to take advantage. the bulls are playing with a ton of confidence right now. and they only have to look back to last year when they were tied with the 'noles at halftime to know they can play with this team.
