under (60) 2 units. purely an anti-psu play. i haven't been all that impressed with them this year. especially clifford. they had their hopes set on the rose bowl. hard to say if they'll show up today to play memphis. one interesting stat i saw... psu is 108th in time of possession this year. so it's unlikely they'll be able to wear down the memphis d.

iowa st (+3.5) 2 units. yeah, i didn't even play the ML in this one. this is just a gut play that iowa st will be the more motivated team. nd's pass defense has been very good this year, but they've only played a handful of teams that sling it like the cyclones.

over (76) 1 unit. sure, both are very square plays. and we really don't know if lsu's defense is any good. ok could put up 50 for all we know. but i like betting against ok in the playoff games, because we DO know that THEIR defense sucks.

ok, i may have, no i definitely went a little overboard on the buckeyes.

ohio st 1st H (ML) 2 units

ohio st (ML) 4 units to win 4.3
under (63) 4 units. simply put, i think ohio st has been tested a lot more than clemson. and championship teams don't almost lose to north carolina. think about it... with the game on the line, clemson let unc march 75 yards in 16 plays. would they be able to stop ohio st in a similar situation? today is when losing all that talent off clemson's defensive line from last year really hurts them.

as far as the total... it happens all the time in big games like this. everybody sees two great offenses, and nobody talks about the defenses. well, they're pretty good, too. it may take the offenses a little while to get going.

and i hear ya. i ALWAYS play the ML when i play dogs, especially in bowl games. i'm still not 100% why i stayed off this one. just a gut call, i guess. well, let's go cyclones!
