1. Detroit -.5 at Boston
If Yahoo's schedule is right, this is Detroit's 9th away game in 11 games. Boston has won 3 of 4, but against relatively weak competition. Detroit has won 9 of 10 - the only loss on it's visit to the Sabres when Hasek was pulled after 2 periods...Bos in 3rd game in 4 day scenario...
2. Avs +1/2 at Philly
Avs were shut-out 2-0 at Atlanta on Thursday. That wil make them mad as heck. Flyers are in a bit of a skid, with 1 win in last 5, at Tampa last week. Also have some injury concerns...
3. AVS/FLYERS Over 4.5
This is a play based on my pendulum theory in the NHL. Flyers have scored 1 goal in 3 straight games. Avs were shut-out 2-0 last time out. Offense busts out here - Avs 4 - Flyers 3
4. New Jersey -.5 vs Rangers
Both teams look to move up in the standings. Rangers only 1 point ahead of Montreal fro last play-off spot, and 4 behind Devils. Devils 4 behind Isles for 6th, and could tie them with back to back wins over Rangers and Vancouver. NJ 2nd game back from long road trip and seem to be playing a bit better right now. Devils lead series 2-0-1-1 and can sew up 5th straight winning year vs. Rangers with a win.
5. NJ/NYR OVER 5.5
NJ has scored more than 3 goals 3 times in 10 games. NY has scored more than 3 goals 1 time in 10 games. Go figure.
NJ 5 - NYR 3
NOTES: Penguins at Kings
Pens lost last 2 by 2-4 scores to Columbus and at Anaheim Wed. They are 6 points behind Rangers for last play-off spot, and losing games to weak teams will not help their chances. They aquired Pushor [D] from Columbus and Donovan [RW] from Atlanta, though I don't know if that will be enough help for a stretch drive.
Kings have won 3 of 4, losing only 3-4 at Colorado, beating Nashville on the road, and Chi 2-1 and St. Louis 2-1 at home...Kings have 5th best defense in league, allowing 154 goals...have allowed 3 goals or less in 6 of 7 games...beat Pitt 5-4 on Feb 27th...
[pass on this game - with lean to under - but will probably lose 4-5

Good luck...IP
