what can i say? i'm superstitious. that subject worked just fine thursday night, so i'll continue the trend. because i like you guys, i shall provide some free winners at no charge. 
Penn St/ND over (46.5) 2 units. as much as i love penn state, i don't think their new defensive secondary will allow them to slow down nd's offense. georgia tech showed how to throw quinn off his rhythym... knock him down. what a concept. unfortunately, penn state has never been a big blitzing team. and without tamba hali, i just don't see psu putting a lot of pressure on quinn, which will leave those d backs exposed. i do think nd's defense is porous enough (and psu's skill players are talented enough) to allow the nittany lions to stay within the number, but penn state's almost completely new offensive line really scares me. so no call on the, but i definitely expect to see some points scored.
colorado (+2) 2 units. wow, this is a tough one. colorado sucks. i mean, they lost at home to MONTANA STATE. that is embarassing. i almost can't believe i'm pullling the trigger on this one myself. but i see 66% on csu, which makes sense. actually, i'm surprised it isn't higher. but for some reason, the line is dropping. :nono: hmmmm.... me thinks something strange is afoot at the circle k. i can't really offer any reasonable explanation to bet the buffs, other than the fact that csu is no prize themselves. i do like dan hawkins, and i don't expect his team to turn in back-to-back clunkers.
arizona (+15.5) 3 units. wow, i love this game. i have all week, and i still do. the sec is quite possibly the best conference in the country. the pac ten... not so much. this seems like a fairly low line... barely over 2 touchdowns. and 91% of bettors are on lsu, but the line has only moved 1/2 point. sounds like a lee corso special to me... not so fast, my friend. i'm not sold on lsu being a dominant team this year. they lost over half their defense. they are 4-8 ATS at home over the last 2 years (1-4 last year). i like what arizona is doing under stoops. they are starting to compete. they were 4-1 ATS on the road last year, and 7-2 as a dog. and here's why i bumped this play from 2 units to 3... lsu travels to auburn next week. if nothing else, their lack of focus on this game will leave the backdoor wide open for a scrappy wildcat team.
air force (+20) 2 units. tennessee sure looked good dismantling the cal panda bears. but this is the classic 'sandwich' game. the volunteers had a lot to prove last week. and they succeeded in spectacular fashion. next week, they host florida. you need to be focused and disciplined to stop the triple option. i doubt tennessee's defense will be either this week. the falcons will hang the number today. the over is probably a solid play as well.

texas (-2) 2 units. how could i not throw in my 2 cents on the game of the day. well, second biggest game of the day for a penn state fan. first, i will revisit an old rant. i HATE brent musberger and am personally offended that he will be announcing this game. if the game was going to be on the radio in upstate ny, i'd gladly mute the tv. anyways... this comes down to texas' inexperienced qb vs ohio state's inexperienced defense. i'll take the rest of texas' offense to do their job, take the pressure off mccoy, and bring home a solid win tonight. it's very difficult for me to take brown over tressel in a game with a 2-point spread, but the buckeyes' defense is just not ready for this game at this point of the season.
