"...Quo fas et gloria ducunt..."
game 1: LA (+110) over COLORADO

L.A missed a HUGE opportunity to gain ground on L.A last nite. While SF and ARIZ are beating up on each other, these are the games that L.A should be winning.
Don't think they'll make that mistake again o matter WHO's pitching on the other team. COlorado got their revenge last nite, hopefully L.A will do the same tonite.

Yes, your thread feels comfortable to me, thanks for the hospitality.

The Mets have scored 5 runs only TWICE in the past 29 games.
Trachsel has been HR-free for L3 starts totaling 18 TPs.

Pick: Mets/Phillies under 9.

-------

Penny for the Fish and Davis for the Reds.
Davis lives in Auburndal, Fla and hales from Winter Haven. Fits the "inspired pitcher" theory.
Penny has been incredible lately with a K/BB ratio of 18/1 in L2 home starts over 15 shut out IPs and gave up only 2 hits during those same two home games. I would not go -185 against Inspired Pitcher Theory but I could take . . .

Pick: Fish/Reds under 9

-------

Tapani has lost his last 6 starts, historically has a rising ERA in 2nd half (6.00 in August and September since 1998) and is favored over Mlick-me?
Well, hard to back Mlicki so the play here must be . . .

Pick: Cubbies/Stros over 12.

-------

Tribe still missing Gonzalez and Burks. -200 is not a good number here. Tigers have won 8 of L11 games. PASS

-------

In his last 3 starts, Rupe is averaging almost one run/IP (25 runs/28 innings)

Pick: Texas-130 over DRays.

-------

Halladay/Keisler looks like a gift.

Pick: NYY/Tor over 10

-------

Pineiro and Johnson are a pair of strong young RHPs and either of them could pitch a gem or blow up. PASS

-------

I lean to Ana but hate the fact that they have been waiting around too long. PASS

game 3: Toronto +1.5 (-135) over YANKS

Roy "doc" Halliday has pitched well in his last two or so starts and should get the nod over the disorganized and suspect pitching of Keisler. Jays offense looks like it's coming around with the new kids...I don't have the nards to say that the JAYZ will win outright, but I have a feeling this game should be close.

game 4: goin on I.E's recommendation.
taking MONTREAL +165 against the BRAVEZ

(yes, I.E, i do have the cahones...!!!)

how can you give Perez a line of -185, when 1) he ain't that great, 2) montreal is killing the ball lately. Montreal starter B.Munoz should give them atleast 6-7 good innings and keep them close in this game.

Hey toronto

For shure i'm around, dont miss much of your post but i've been "kinda" lazy posting in here.
I've also taken another approch. I use to look at every team, going thru all the stats by myself: lots and lots of work when in reality the results are not always egal to the work put in. There is just to much info to manage and to follow out there and my time dedicated on this is not what it use to be.

I'm working and just dont have as much time to put on all the teams as i use too. I'm now looking more on one division and mostly two teams, teams that i can get an easy briefing and info on.
For the rest i trust some great folks in here.
Maybe i should post more often about the local club wich could help someother people.
Its the small last min info wich means a lot sometimes and its easier to follow one club then it it to follow the entire leaque.
Keep on the good work.
AND YOU KNOW.......MERDE :)
