20-19-1(+0.65 Units) w/Best Bets
3-2(+0.75 Units) on Friday

Kansas City Royals +180(Best Bet)*
OVER 7.5(Chicago White Sox@Chicago Cubs)
OVER 9(Seattle Mariners@Detroit Tigers)-Game #1
Pittsburgh Pirates -140
St. Louis Cardinals -120

*-Well, you almost "Double" your $$$. I know KC is off to a slow start to say the least but Cleveland has struggled as well losing 10 of their last 14 games. The Tribe is just 3-7 in the month of May. Hopefully the Royals will continue their torrid pace @ the Plate this evening. KC has scored 38 runs on 60 hits in their last 4 games. Royals starter Jake Junis has preformed very well so far this season & is 4-2(ERA 3.18) overall while pitching on a below average Ball Club. JJ is even better pitching on the Road allowing just 4 earned runs in his 3 away starts, ALL Royals victories. KC is 5-2 this year when JJ is on the Hill which is stellar considering the Royals have won just 13 games all season. Tribe starter Mike Clevinger is pitching well but has run into some bad luck. In his last start against the "Red Hot" Yankees this past Sunday he allowed just ONE(1) hit in 7.3 innings but lost the game 7-4. The Tribe is 0-4 in Clevinger's last 4 starts. Think the Kansas City Royals have a really good shot to get WIN#14 this evening & I LOVE the Price!!! :yup One thing that does concern me however...Marc Lawrence likes KC as well. :mj08:

Good Luck MadJackers & GO YOU KANSAS CITY ROYALS!!! :00hour

Doesn't it seem when we take the time to explain or give reason for a play it is just a waste of time or bad luck.Only reason I say this is because I don't recall you giving a reason behind a play, thought you usually just list your plays. However you felt a good enough read and gave reasoning for such play,it just didn't turn out that way.Just weird how when we give our reasoning it seems to bite us..Good luck tomorrow and your one of the few that continue to keep an accurate record no matter how your season is going.GL going forward!!!

Thanks eeeerock. I do wish more Cappers would post their records, good or bad. When I joined MJ's back in the early 2000's it was common practice that almost ALL members posted their results. As for KC I had some extra time yesterday morning so I thought I would give the Forum my reasoning, which looked good on paper, for taking a huge Dog as my Best Bet. Well that is what KC was....A DOG.

Best of Luck Always eeeerock!!!

D2, I for one, appreciate when cappers have the time, inclination to give at least a hint of "why" they're on a certain pick that day... it Does take extra time, and it does Not always win. But I don't think an explanation jinxes the pick by any means.

Record posting (particularly in MLB) can be a headache because of all the diff prices involved and ppl get things at diff times and odds can be very diff (20 cents or more diff), and sometimes ppl challenge those #'s too. It can be a hassle.

Junis was a "Live Dog" yday, a solid "chance" at a great price, but they lost.
How much $$ ppl been losing betting on lyr's NL Champ Dodgers the last few days vs arguably what has been the worst team in mlb this yr, Cinn Reds??

NObody should go crazy on ANY particular game, esp in MLB when the Best Teams lose 60 times/season and the worst teams usually Win 60+ gms/yr.
Losses happen... to ALL of us.

You go above and beyond w/all the sports picks you make AND the record keeping!
Few appreciate the efforts to track stuff every damn day, esp when you make plays in diff forums. I understand and appreciate your efforts!
Bottom line is how much you win or lose and can be comfortable with...

I think the explanations help me decide whether I will tail or not.. If I'm on the fence anyway. For me, Clevinger is on 1 of my fantasy tms, and I will rarely go against my own guys, I'll just skip that gm... unless my guys a complete turd, and then I'll go against him as often as possible lol.

For me, I've found I'm better off trying to glean the 'strongest' picks from around the boards, and then compare to what I like, my few stats I check, etc... and then try to trim it back even more lol

I wish you continued success!! As I do for all MadJackers clan!
We are all trying to select winners as often as possible, do what u can.
God Bless Us Everyone!! :p

D2, Like eeeerock says, you keep accurate records and everyone likes that. I am like you, I rarely give reasons why I like the games I play. Its just me. It doesn't mean I am throwing darts at them or something. The hardest thing here is reading season long threads. Their might be some good cappers in those but they are to hard to keep up with. Even though MJ's take you back to your last check in on the thread. Miss 2 days in it and you lost. Believe me I know what a pain it is keeping records. GL buddy keep it going.
