Rutgers -4.5 over Army ******
I jumped on this line the other day...its now -5 but I see it going up higher...really doesn't make a huge difference...think Rutgers beats Army by 2 or 3 tds...both teams are bad but Rutgers should cover this...Army is bad...no passing attack and a wishbone offense where the fullback is stopped...so take that option away..no outside speed...no passing game..so what ever offense you want to call it army is out of options...Rutgers DL is big and strong...but they do have athletic LB's and def backs...these guys will put 11 in the box because if army had wide open Wr's Bradshaw couldn't hit them past 5 yds...
Rutgers qb is terrible..the whole state of New Jersey wants him benched..but Flood said the other day Laviano is starting.....and speaking of Flood...he is already in all sorts of trouble...half his team has been arrested...he then was suspended for two games trying to talk to a professor to change grades.....playing in the big 10.....he might be already fired but if he loses to Army "Forget about it"...that is New Jersey not New York..right NJ Sammy...anyway I love big time this line...back later in the week...

Armys qb's Bradshaw is banged up after last week...he had 5 fumbles and lost 4 of them vs Tulane ..AJ his backup is also banged up..so frosh Carter might start...qood runner,slasher,fast..weak arm..many are speculating that he might start...but Coach M is worried about ball security...but with Bradshaws performance last week whats the difference... on another note Army has fumbled 34 times.. No 1 in the nation...Besides turning it over Armys option just isn't working..and when it does a fumble or turnover stops it..Armys backs are just not that good..they did pass for 130 yds vs Tulane after being down by 21 and came back but fell short...Army D has played pretty good holding Penn St down a month ago.. but losing to Fordham and winning on a hail mary to Bucknell... so inconsistent....

Rutgers has lost 5 of last 6,4 in a row,had the starting safety suspended 2 days ago for todays game...had 7 players suspended and thrown off in a 2 week period two months ago..."home invasion in the neighborhood".... we used to call it robbery.....had the coach suspended for the 1st 3 games..all he was doing was trying to talk to some professors in passing a student or two...whats the big deal... look at Kentucky hoops.etc..
No one knows if Flood will be fired at the end of the season...its 50-50 among the experts and talk forums..they might give him one more year..but if he loses to Army today he is out...think he knows it...Rutgers last 4 losses were to Ohio St,Wisky,Mich,and Nebraska...pretty good comp...they scored 7,10,16 and 14 pts in those games..
Their offense with Laviano at qb has been bad...although he is throwing at 60% he still sucks..he has 11 tds and 10 ints..RU has some decent rb's with each over 600 yds...but their stud is wr Carroo who is a big time player...probably the best wr in the B-10...he will be very tough to stop even if Army doubles team him...RU Ol is banged up but 6'8 325 Lumpkin should open up a few big holes.. think Army will have tough time stopping RU offense...RU defense is athletic,bigger,faster,etc..RU has some solid LB's that will stuff the run game.. on kickoff or punts RU has Grant who leads the nation in kick off returns and punts..he will run one back today vs the army special teams..
Enough said....both teams are bad...no one is going bowling....one team is much better then the other...Rutgers has dominated in this series even though they haven't played for awhile..Rutgers will be seeing a team much smaller,slower,and not athletic as its B-10 buddies...Army will be seeing a team opposite of the above...Rutgers win this by 2 or 3 tds...

Rutgers really sucks...I'll take the win but damn...Flood should get fired...I know Carroo went out early but they had so many times to put the cadets away and didn't...missed assignments...Poe wide open on two plays...missed coverage.. no wonder why the B-10's schools killed them....that was a tough game to watch because Rutgers really sucks...rule no. 1 in this business is don't put to much *'s on two bad teams..I had to sweat it out till the end....but a win is a win...ugly or not....
......was at Panaro's the other day....sat next to 4 cadets..all we did was talk about the Rutgers game.....all four did not want to go watch the game...but they have too...great young kids...one of my former students wrestles for Army....two of the cadets knew him...

NJ sammy...you are right.. The Hawks are the best team in Jersey...the pt gd Robinson is from area...he is amazing...if you put him with the Duke starting 5 he would deliver...one of the best players in the country...I saw him 2 times in HS and was just as good...ironically he plays like someone I saw way back....his coach.. King Rice...when King played at Bing HS he was amazing...Justin plays just like him

I stayed another year up here as a principal ...my 3rd retirement call back...wife and family are in austin..in June I'll hang it up for good and become a "snowbird"...hope we don't get to much snow....your jets are....can't talk.. my jints aren't any better..
