Scott, congrats on the blowout win over ND. Hard to tell just how good USC's offense is from that performance b/c ND's defense looks like a high school JV team.
USC's defense looks solid and FAST. I think they have a shot against Ohio St, but I don't think Buckeyes lose to anyone this year.
I never thought ND was 2nd best team in the nation through all the BCS posting. I doubt that came across. I just hate the system and the inconsistency of such a lousy system.
The BCS is supposedly about finding the best 2 teams in the nation. But the polls, which make up 2/3 of the BCS formula have never been about finding the 2 best teams. It has been about a starting point in August and a system of moving up gradually with wins while dropping when losing.
Thats why I felt ND should have a CHANCE at the title at this point. Enough teams lost but didn't fall while ND did nothing but win 8 in a row.
We the fans need to come up with something that will change the system. Something that will hurt the pockets of the universities. Something like boycotting the bowls for a season until we get a true champion.
But, overall, congrats on the win and I desperately hope USC loses one of their next 2 games.....
